The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday abducted 8 Palestinian citizens during home raids in different areas in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Local sources said that the IOF stormed several neighborhoods in Nablus and arrested three Palestinian citizens after searching their homes.
In Jerusalem the IOF arrested three Palestinian youths in Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in Silwan town and assaulted a number of Palestinian citizens who protested the raid and tried to prevent the arbitrary arrest.
In the nearby village of Beit Duqqu, the IOF broke into the house of Sami Rayyan, 25, arrested him and searched the place.
Violent clashes broke out between the village's residents and the IOF soldiers who heavily fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades.
A similar raid was reported in Beit Ummar town in al-Khalil. The IOF stormed the house of the Palestinian citizen Ahmad Abu Mariya, wreaked havoc on it, stole a sum of money and seized Abu Mariya's car.
Meanwhile, the IOF arrested the Palestinian ex-detainee Maher Burqan, a resident of al-Khalil, at al-Karama crossing while he was heading to Saudi Arabia for minor pilgrimage (Umrah).

Israeli soldiers abducted, on Monday at dawn, thirteen Palestinians, including two children, from their homes in the West Bank governorates of Hebron, Ramallah, and Tulkarem, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported.
The PPS said several army jeeps invaded the al-‘Arroub refugee camp, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, before ransacking many homes, and abducted Ali Walid Jawabra, 19, Mohammad Nayef Badawi, 22, Roshdi Salim Awlad Issa, 16, and Omar Zohdi Mahfouth, 16.
In addition, the soldiers invaded many neighborhoods in Hebron city, and the surrounding towns of Sammoa’, Yatta, Deir Samit, and Sa’ir, in addition to Tarqoumia town, where the soldiers also invaded and violently searched homes, causing serious damage, in addition to confiscating a computer.
The soldiers also installed roadblocks at the main entrances of Sa’ir and Halhoul towns, in addition to Hebron’s northern road, before stopping and searching dozens of cars and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
In Ramallah governorate, in central West Bank, the soldiers invaded Um as-Sharayet neighborhood in Ramallah city, in addition to al-Biereh city, the al-Am’ari refugee camp, and Beit Rima town, before storming and searching homes and abducted four young men.
The abducted Palestinians have been identified as Yahia Rommana, Ziad Abu Kweik, Abdul-Mo’ti Karam Rimawi, 18, and Nabigh Yahia Rimawi, 19.
In addition, the soldiers invaded and searched homes in Anabta town, east of the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem, before abducting Ahmad Omar Abu ‘Asal, 21, Moath Ahmad Abu ‘Asal, 25, Ahmad Mahmoud Sharaqa, 21, Anas Eithar Abu Khmeish, 20, and Yousef Mohammad Nassar.

Haaretz newspaper said that the Israeli occupation army’s civil administration intends to approve the construction of hundreds of housing units in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to the newspaper, about 2,000 housing units will be okayed in the coming days for construction in isolated settlements and outposts.
The plan will be launched in compliance with recent remarks made by premier Benjamin Netanyahu about his intent to approve the building of 3,000 housing units in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Netanyahu had also announced that he would soon order the annexation of the northern Jordan Valley and would seek support from the US administration to annex West Bank settlements to be part of the Jewish state.
According to the newspaper, about 2,000 housing units will be okayed in the coming days for construction in isolated settlements and outposts.
