Fanatic Jewish settlers call for Israeli sovereignty over Aqsa Mosque

Picture
Extremist Jewish settlers rallied on Tuesday night in the old city of occupied Jerusalem to demand their government to fully control the Aqsa Mosque.

The Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage stated on Wednesday that a Jewish group called the returnees to the temple mount organized a provocative march that started from outside Al-Kharab synagogue and went through and around the old city of Jerusalem.

During the march, the Jewish settlers chanted slogans against the Aqsa Mosque and issued a statement demanding their government to control the Mosque and give it to the Jews to perform their rituals freely and without restrictions.

The Israeli police tightly guarded the march and prevented any Palestinian from getting closer to the Jewish settlers.

OCHA investigates the killing of sheep by settlers in Jordan Valley

Picture
A delegation from the Office of Humanitarian Affairs in UN (OCHA) launched on Wednesday an investigation into the death of sheep and cows belonging to Bedouin citizens in Jordan Valley and Tubas after being poisoned by Jewish settlers.

The OCHA's delegation pointed out that the United Nations has been concerned at the killing of livestock in the Northern Jordan Valley, and that the visit aims to find out the truth of the matter and send reports to the UN Office in order to take the necessary action and stop such dangerous acts in the region.

The delegation met with the owners of the sheep and cows and listened to their testimony about the incident.

The affected citizens pointed out that the occupation has been continuously chasing the cows and sheep in Palestinian grazing and confiscating them, then imposing heavy fines on their owners to retrieve them.

Dozens of Settlers Storm south of Jenin, Solomon's Pools

Picture
Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed on Tuesday the evacuated Homesh settlement south of Jenin and performed Talmudic rituals.

Local sources confirmed that a bus carrying dozens of settlers, under the protection of Israeli soldiers, stormed the area and performed their religious rituals.

The Israeli occupation forces stationed at Jenin-Nablus main road, while the settlers stoned the vehicles passing by the Burqa and Seilat al-Dhaher villages.

In the same context, dozens of settlers stormed Solomon's Pools south of Bethlehem and performed their religious rituals.

It's worth mentioning that these continued attempts to storm Solomon's Pools prove the settlers' intention to seize the area in order to annex it to Gush Etzion settlement bloc.

Meanwhile, the Israeli attempts to take control over a water source near the city of al-Khalil in the southern West Bank still continued recently.

The Palestinian residents expressed their fears towards the settlers' repeated breakings into the area in an attempt to seize the water sources especially that they have raised the Israeli flag near it.

Furthermore, a number of Israeli settlers uprooted about 20 olive seedlings in Palestinian land in the town of Seir south of al-Khalil city.

Eyewitnesses told Land Research Center in al-Khalil that 20 olive seedlings, provided by the Ministry of Agriculture within Palestine greening project were uprooted and stolen by Israeli settlers.

Aqsa foundation: Jewish groups rallied in the last two days in Al-Buraq square

Picture
The Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage said that thousands of fanatic Jewish settlers led by senior rabbis and Knesset members desecrated on Monday and Tuesday Al-Bruaq wall square west of the Aqsa Mosque.

About 3,000 settlers spearheaded by right-wing rabbis and Knesset members rallied overnight on Tuesday and participated in congregational rituals and celebrations to mark what they describe as independence day (the nakba of Palestine).

The Aqsa foundation stressed that Al-Buraq wall is an integral part of the Aqsa Mosque and that all violations committed daily by Israel and its settlers against the sanctity of the Mosque and its premises would not succeed in Judaizing it.

Meanwhile, a state of extreme caution and attention has prevailed in the old city of Jerusalem and at the Aqsa Mosque since extremist Jewish groups declared their intention to stage a massive march on Tuesday to the Aqsa Mosque to demand their government to fully control the Mosque.

The foundation noted that the same Jewish groups renewed yesterday on their facebook pages their call for participating in this march.

It warned of holding such march and held the Israeli regime fully responsible for the consequences.

60 Jewish settlers storm the Aqsa mosque

Picture
About 60 Jewish settlers stormed the Aqsa mosque on Tuesday morning in groups and as individuals under heavy Israeli military escort and toured the holy site in the company of rabbis.

Hundreds of worshipers, school students, and students learning the holy Quran were present at the time and chanted Allahu Akbar (God is Great) in rejection of those visits and tours.

Tension is prevailing in the Old City of Jerusalem and in the vicinity of the Aqsa mosque after Jewish fanatic organizations declared intention to assemble in front of the Israeli premier’s office at 5:00 pm today then head from there to the Aqsa mosque to demand full sovereignty over the holy site and the right of Jews to offer Talmudic rituals inside it.

The Aqsa Foundation for Endowment and Heritage warned of the consequences of that march and held the Israeli occupation authority fully responsible in the event it actually took place.

AFEH called on the Arab and Islamic organizations and peoples to assume their responsibility toward Jerusalem and the Aqsa, and urged for immediate action to save the Aqsa from plots that are being ceaselessly hatched against it.

According to this invitation, the march will call on the government to take control of what they described as the temple mount in order to allow the Jews to perform their Talmudic rituals freely inside it.

It added that the settlers marched across the streets and alleys of the Old City of Jerusalem and past the gates of the Aqsa Mosque, and chanted slogans claiming the Aqsa Mosque as their alleged temple.

The Israeli police also closed the main streets to protect the Jewish marches and prevent any clashes with the Arab natives.

The department said that “the existence of the settlers in the occupied state of Palestine violates international law, and is considered a war crime according to the Rome Statute”.

It added that the settlers are not being prosecuted for their crimes, in addition to the fact that they receive funding, and protection from the army, “an issue that constitutes another war crime”.

The department further stated that there has been a serious escalation in attacks against holy sites in Palestine, and warned that such attacks could drag the region into a renewed wave of clashes.

“Israel must admit and recognize its illegitimate presence in the occupied territories”, the PLO said, “It must remove its settlers, and stop the construction of settlements, before the entire region is dragged into a new, extended, cycle of violence”.

Israeli settlers steal water from Palestinians: report

Picture
A new report reveals that Israeli settlers have been stealing water from Palestinian water springs near the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank for their fish farms, Press TV reports.

The Palestinian NGO, Land Research Centre, said in a report that Israeli settlers from the settlements of Yiztar and Baracha have been using water springs in the Palestinian residents of Burin in order to raise fish.

Jamal Daoud, a Burin resident, told Press TV that the Israeli settlers confiscated the Palestinian water springs, which are used to irrigate crops.

Daoud also said Palestinians always had problems with Israeli settlers, and for several times the settlers attacked Palestinians on their farms.

The Palestinian residents lodged a complaint with Israeli authorities, saying that the settlers use their only source of water, not only for farming but also for their leisure. This is while the Palestinian community suffers water shortages and has to pay extortionate rates for water.

The Israeli settlements are considered illegal by much of the international community. However, defiant Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the settlement construction is part of Tel Aviv’s policy and will not stop.

Construction of Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian lands violates the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prevents an occupying power from transferring its own population into occupied territory, an act that could be equal to war crimes that fall under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.
