A Palestinian farmer from the al-Khader town, south of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, managed to escape an attack by an Israeli settler who tried to ram him with his car, near the West Bank city of Bethlehem.
The farmer, identified as Mohannad Sa’ad Salah, was trying to cross bypass road #60 when a settler shifted his vehicle towards him and tried to run him over.
The Palestinian ran toward police barricades on the side of the road, and escaped the attack unharmed, the Maan News Agency said.
Salah said he was heading towards his land, as he does every day, when he noticed a settler, driving a red Daihatsu car speeding towards him. The settler’s vehicle struck the barricades, and fled the scene.
He added that the incident was not just a traffic accident, as he could see the driver shifting his vehicle towards him, and trying to run him over.

At least 15 Palestinians kidnapped across West Bank
Seven Palestinians were injured, Thursday, after being targeted with rubber-coated metal bullets and teargas grenades by Israeli forces, as citizens and Birzeit University scholars headed to Ofer military camp, to protest in solidarity with Jerusalem and the rising number of dead throughout Palestine.
A number of Jewish settlers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque compound following clashes between Israeli police and Palestinian worshippers inside the complex.
PNN reports that hundreds of participants headed towards the Ofer checkpoint West Ramallah, where clashes sparked with Israeli soldiers. Seven injuries have been reported so far.

Israeli forces abducted, on Thursday, at least 26 Palestinian citizens in different raids across the West Bank, including relatives of Wednesday's hit and run suspect, north of Hebron.
See imemc.org/article/69626 for details.
According to Al Ray correspondence, tension has been running high in occupied East Jerusalem since Israeli authorities closed al-Aqsa Mosque compound following the attack on American-born extremist rabbi Yehuda Glick.
Authorities reopened the mosque the following day, after many violent clashes with Palestinian protesters, but continued their policy of barring male Muslim worshippers under 50 years old from entering the holy site.
PA President Mahmoud Abbas, for his part, warned that the closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque was tantamount to a "declaration of war" against the Palestinian people and their sacred places.
Turkish/English news outlet "World Bulletin" compares the current uprising to events in September of 2000, when a visit to the site by controversial Israeli politician Ariel Sharon sparked what later became known as the Second Intifada, a popular uprising against the Israeli occupation in which thousands of Palestinians were killed.

He then hit several cars before stopping and exiting the vehicle reportedly carrying an iron bar before border police officers shot him dead.
The Arabs48 news website said the Palestinian driver has been identified as Ibrahim al-‘Akari, 38, from the Shu’fat refugee camp.
He is the brother of former political prisoners Mousa al-‘Akari who was exiled to Turkey as part of the Shalit Prisoner Swap deal, in October 18. 2011.
The brother, Mousa, is believed to have been a member of a Hamas group that killed an Israeli soldier after kidnapping him on December 13 1992. He was sentenced to three life terms.
The Arabs48 said the “Internal Israeli Security Service” insists that al-‘Akari should be buried at the “Numbers Graveyard” where many Palestinian and Arab fighters are buried in numbered, nameless, graves.
The Hamas movement officially claimed responsibility for the attack, and said Ibrahim al-Akari is one of its members, and that he carried out the attack in retaliation to Israel’s ongoing violations against the Palestinian people, and the constant attacks targeting the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and Jerusalem.
Hamas official Fawzi Barhoum said in a statement that the operation is “a natural response to the Israeli crimes, constant abuse and violations targeting Al-Aqsa and holy sites, in addition to the ongoing displacement of Palestinians from their occupied city, Jerusalem.
He called on the Palestinians in Jerusalem, the West Bank and the rest of Palestine to “conduct more attacks targeting the Israeli occupation and its settlers,” and “in defense of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the blood of those who defend Al-Aqsa, and the legitimate Palestinian rights.”
Earlier on Wednesday, the Israeli army briefly closed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound confrontations with dozens of Palestinians who clashed with Israeli extremists, and soldiers, invading the Mosque compound.

Unidentified suspects kidnap Palestinian teen
Hamas has claimed responsibility for a Jerusalem car attack which killed one Israeli border policeman and injured 14 others, earlier in the day. An unidentified group of assailants kidnapped a 16-year-old Palestinian boy, on Tuesday.
In a statement, Hamas decalred that, through the attack, Ibrahim al-Akkari took "revenge for his people," for al-Aqsa mosque, and for Jerusalem.
According to Ma'an, the military wing of Hamas, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, said on Wednesday, meanwhile, following the attack that al-Aqsa is the detonator which will "cause a volcano to erupt in Israel's face".
Spokesman for the Brigades, Abu Ubaida, hailed the "heroes of Jerusalem and Hamas fighters" who defend al-Aqsa Mosque with their souls and blood.
East Jerusalem has been under Israeli occupation since 1967 and, in recent months, Israeli authorities have frequently limited access to mosque compound.
The Israeli border police -- the target of Wednesday's car attack -- are the security arm of the national police, and frequently work with the army in occupied Palestinian territory, to include the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
An Israeli court, on Wednesday, ruled that the body of Mr. al-Akkari will be released to his family for burial, later this evening.
The court has limited the number of mourners to 35.
In related news, Ma'an reports that unidentified assailants have kidnapped a 16-year-old Palestinian, identified as Amir Majdi Ramadan, from Beit Hanina, while he was heading to his school on a motorcycle, Tuesday.
The boy's father said that, according to what his son told him and reported to police, while he was on his motorcycle going to school, Tuesday morning, he was hit by a car from behind, upon which three unidentified assailants beat him over his head with a gun and placed him in the trunk of the car.
Mr. Ramadan added that he did not know of the incident until he received a call from Amir's school telling him that his son had not arrived for studies.
He attempted to call his son several times before receiving a call from a friend telling him that Amir had been found lying in a neighborhood in Beit Hanina, and that a local took him to the main street and called an ambulance.
He said that the Israeli police arrived to the area and found a jacket covering the boy that is thought to belong to one of the kidnappers. A booklet in Hebrew was also found in the jacket's pocket.
Amir's motorcycle was found in a garbage container by police. His school bag was nowhere to be seen, however.
He was taken to Hadassa Ein Karem Hospital, with bleeding in his lungs and bruises on his back and neck.
Amir said that he could not recognize any of the kidnappers, saying none of them spoke a word to him.

Ibrahim Muhammad Daoud al-Akkari, 48
One person was killed and at least 13 injured when a car deliberately rammed pedestrians in Jerusalem on Wednesday, medics said, with media reports saying the driver was shot dead shortly afterwards.
"A commercial vehicle hit and ran over pedestrians at a light rail station," Israeli police spokeswoman Luba Samri said, indicating the incident took place on the Green Line between west and annexed East Jerusalem.
An Israeli emergency services spokesman told AFP that 10 were wounded, with hospital sources later saying that one pedestrian had died from his injuries.

Israeli media reported that the suspect exited the vehicle after ramming into pedestrians and began attacking passers-by with an iron rod before being shot in the head and neck by border police.
A Ma'an reporter identified the suspect as Ibrahim Muhammad Daoud al-Akkari, 48, from Shufat.
His brother was released and deported to Turkey as part of the Shalit prisoner exchange deal in 2011.
Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said the attack was a "natural response" to Israeli crimes in Jerusalem and a sign that the city is set to explode.
He called on Palestinians to protect and defend the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Car accident in Jerusalem , several injuries reported
The Israeli site 0404 reported that two Israeli settlers killed and more than 6 others injured in a car accident in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in east Jerusalem. Ynet site said that a Palestinian driver rammed into a group of Israeli settlers , leaving several injuries one in serious condition.
It reported that the driver then continued to drive hitting a number of cars and then stopped, exited the car holding a metal bar and proceeded to attack additional pedestrians. Israeli border forces then shot and killed him.
Israeli forces escalated their attacks against Palestinian in Jerusalem recently, leaving al-Aqsa mosque and adjacent neighborhood a flashpoint.
Since weeks, Israeli police banned Palestinian prayers from entering al-Aqsa mosque. A number of Jewish settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Wednesday following clashes between Israeli police and Palestinian worshippers inside the complex.

During its weekly meeting, the Palestinian unity government said Tuesday that the Israeli occupation’s authorities aim to drag the region to wider conflict through stepping up settlement schemes, escalating daily attacks against Jerusalemites and al-Aqsa Mosque.
The council of ministers said that the IOA is solely responsible for the assassination attempt of the extremist rabbi Yehuda Glick.
The heroic steadfastness of the Palestinian people in occupied Jerusalem, the firm position of the Palestinian leadership, and the Jordanian pressures would certainly foil Israel’s Judaization and settlement schemes, the council’s statement said.
The council called upon the Arab and Islamic Nation, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Conference to bear their responsibilities in defense of al-Aqsa Mosque in light of Israel’s growing territorial ambitions.
Netanyahu’s call for calm is misleading, as it is followed by his decision to approve 500 new housing units in Ramat Shlomo settlement neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, the statement added.
The statement also pointed out that the IOA allowed the right-wing Knesset member Moshe Feiglin and several Jewish settlers to desecrate the Aqsa Mosque.
The council strongly condemned the cold-blooded murder of the ex-detainee Mutaz Hijazi by Israeli special forces in his home in occupied Jerusalem.
In another context, the statement pointed to Israeli continued and escalated violations against Palestinian prisoners and detainees, calling upon the international community to intervene immediately and demand their release especially sick prisoners, administrative detainees, the detained minors, and those who were detained before Oslo accords.

An Israeli settler driving through Beit Jala, on Tuesday morning, hit Palestinian citizen Ibrahim Hamdan with his car as he was on his way to work, according to witnesses.
Local sources told Ma'an that the settler appeared to hit him "deliberately."
Mr. Hamdan was taken to a hospital in Beit Jala for treatment, locals said, without providing further details, other than that he had been lightly injured.
An Israeli police spokesman reportedly did not answer calls seeking comment.
The incident follows a similar one which occurred on October 19th, when an Israeli settler drove his car into five-year-old Einas Khalil in the West Bank town of Sinjil, fatally injuring her.

Hundreds of Palestinian Muslims had to perform dawn prayers in the streets and alleys of the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem, after Israeli soldiers and police officers denied them access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque for dawn prayers.
Local sources said the soldiers continued to prevent all Palestinians males, below the age of 40, from entering the mosque during dawn and morning hours for the third consecutive day.
The WAFA News Agency said dozens of Israeli extremists invaded the yards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque during morning hours under heavy police and army deployment.
Similar to numerous previous invasions, the attack took place through the Al-Magharba Gate, while the extremists conducted provocative tours in the entire area of the mosque.
Israeli fanatics are planning to invade the mosque area in large numbers, Wednesday, while the Palestinians said they would be countering the attack, WAFA said.
The Wednesday invasion marks a week after the attempted killing of extremist rabbi Yehuda Glick, while hundreds, if not thousands, of fanatics are said to be participating in the attack.
A statement released by the so-called Temple Mount Movement called for thousands of Israelis, including Members of Knesset and senior figures, to gather near the Al-Magharba Gate, before advancing into the mosque’s yards to “perform prayers,” WAFA stated.

Israeli MK and deputy minister of transportation Tzipi Hotovely and other senior officials on Tuesday afternoon desecrated the Aqsa Mosque, while Muslims' access to the holy place is still restricted, the Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage said.
Hotovely toured the Mosque's courtyards and plateaus under tight police protection as some Palestinian worshipers, who happened to be there, were shouting religious slogans in protest at her violation of the Mosque's sanctity.
The foundation also said that the Israeli occupation police in the morning barred all Palestinian men under age 40 from entering the Mosque and allowed in 50 Jewish settlers and 22 military and security officials.
Hotovely's visit took place only 24 hours after right-wing Knesset member Moshe Feiglin and several Jewish settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque.
Meanwhile, the coalition of temple mount groups incited the Jewish community to march en masse to the Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday to mark one week after the assassination attempt of radical Rabbi Yehuda Glick.

Undercover soldiers of the Israeli military kidnapped, on Monday morning, a Palestinian woman in the yards of the al-Aqsa mosque in occupied Jerusalem, when she tried to stop and an extremist member of Knesset (MK) from invading the yards of the mosque accompanied by her armed guards and Israeli soldiers.
Eyewitnesses said the woman, Sahar Natasha, started chanting and shouting Allahu Akbar (God is greater) to express her rejection to the invasion and desecration of the mosque, and tried to stop the Israeli MK, Shuli Mualem-Rafaeli, of the “Jewish Home” Party.
An-Natsha was one of many women who tried to stop Shuli and her guards, who were advancing towards the Dome of the Rock, after invading its yards.
Israeli soldiers also imposed further restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, and closed all gates before allowing the Israeli MK and her guards into the area.
Eyewitnesses said employees of the Waqf and Islamic Endowment Department, in addition to Sheikh Omar al-Kiswani, the head of the al-Aqsa Mosque, tried to help the woman who was being beaten and arrested, but the army assaulted them, and forced them away.
The kidnapped woman was moved to a police station in the occupied city for interrogation.
The eyewitnesses added that dozens of soldiers and Israeli extremists invaded the yards of the al-Aqsa Mosque through the al-Magharba Gate, while dozens of soldiers were also deployed at the main gates of the mosque before preventing all men below the age of 40 from entering.
They said scores of Palestinians have also been prevented from entering the mosque for dawn prayers, Monday, while the army withheld the ID cards of all older men who were allowed through.
In addition, the soldiers conducted searches in the yards of the al-Aqsa mosque, and interrogated several worshipers.

The Israeli occupation police allowed on Sunday right-wing Knesset member Moshe Feiglin and several Jewish settlers to desecrate the Aqsa Mosque and perform rituals, while they restricted the entry of Muslims to the holy place.
This happened despite international pressures on Israel to calm the tension in the holy city and end its provocative measures at the Aqsa Mosque.
Haaretz newspaper said that following international pressures, primarily by the US and Jordan, Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday demanded all Knesset members to calm the situation in Jerusalem.
The Israeli police have also imposed since dawn prayers today strict restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers to the Aqsa Mosque and only allowed in those over age 40.
During the presence of MK Feiglin inside the Aqsa Mosque compound, the police prevented Palestinian citizens of all ages from going in, local sources said.
Feiglin on Saturday had declared his intention to enter the Aqsa Mosque in order to perform rituals and pray for the recovery of rabbi Yehuda Glick, who survived an assassination attempt in Jerusalem, but is still in critical condition.
Meanwhile, a large number of Jewish settlers, including extremist temple mount activists, rabbis and intelligence officers, have rallied Sunday morning at Al-Maghariba Gate of the Aqsa Mosque in order to defile the Islamic holy place in groups and pray for Glick.
Glick is the leader of the extremist temple mount faithful movement and he is notorious for his active attempts to rally support for the construction of the alleged temple mount on the ruins of the Aqsa Mosque.

Israel’s Channel 2 reported that ‘Death to Arabs’ slogan was found written on a school’s walls in occupied Jerusalem Thursday in what is suspected to be a price tag attack.
Along the same line, Israeli forces accompanied with Israeli bulldozers and a group of settlers razed agricultural lands belonging to Palestinian farmers in Salfit.
Local sources said that a group of settlers from Leshem settlement bulldozed a Palestinian agricultural land west of Salfit.
For his part, the expert in settlements affairs Khaled Maali said that Israeli bulldozers razed an agricultural land near the archaeological site Der Simon in the city.
The excavations pose a real danger to the archaeological site which was built most likely about 400 AD, he pointed out.
