Hamas Movement lashed out at Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas for requesting a delay in an emergency meeting for the Arab League to discuss the Israeli aggression on Gaza. Official spokesman for the Movement Fawzi Barhoum said in a press release on Saturday that Abbas’s request for the Arab foreign ministers was an attempt to isolate Gaza from its Arab depth and to ease pressure on the Israeli occupation.
“We ask for an immediate and urgent Arab and Islamic action to stop the war and end the Zionist oppression on Gaza and the Palestinian people,” Barhoum concluded.

Hamas Movement has strongly condemned PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s statements in which he described Palestinian resistance as 'warmongers'. Spokesman for the movement Sami Abu Zuhri said in a press release issued on Friday night that Abbas’s remarks are a betrayal to Palestinian martyrs’ blood and only serve hostile positions to the Palestinian people and its resistance.
Hamas will succeed in imposing its conditions on Israel regardless of such shameless positions, he added.
Abbas had earlier said that Hamas’s conditions for a ceasefire with Israel are unnecessary and unrequired.
In televised statements, Abbas stressed the need to achieve a ceasefire immediately without preconditions, saying that the only loser in this war is the Palestinian civilians.
He slammed the Israeli heavy use of fire and stressed his readiness to resume peace talks. He pointed to his ongoing efforts to join UN treaties.
“Israel keeps attacking our people, however; we have to defend ourselves according to the international law”, he added.
For his part, the leader in Fatah Movement Hossam Khader said in his Facebook page on Friday that the ongoing war on Gaza will come up with the resistance’s victory, the establishment of Palestinian state in Gaza, and an end to Abbas’s political role.
Khader, a leader and founding member in Fatah’s student wing at al-Najah University, was deported to Lebanon during the first Intifada (uprising) after being arrested in 1988. He spent more than 10 years behind Israeli bars.

President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday called on UN Chief Ban Ki-Moon to form an international committee to investigate Israeli crimes committed against Palestinians, media reported.
The official Palestinian Authority news agency Wafa said that Abbas gave Robert Serry, the UN special coordinator for Mideast peace, a letter to deliver to Ki-Moon on the subject.
"Mohammad Abu Khdeir was burnt alive. Sixteen Palestinians, including children and women were killed during the past two weeks, aside from the ongoing kidnapping attempts and assaults against children," Abbas said, according the Wafa report.
"We all saw through the media the face of Tarek Abu Khdeir distorted with injuries by" Israeli police, he added.
"We are preparing for a set of steps to deter the Israeli aggression and curb settlers' crimes and the ongoing attacks against our people in the besieged Gaza Strip."
The President's remarks come as tensions soar amid riots by Palestinians in protest over the killing of 16-year-old Muhammad Abu Khdeir on Wednesday.
Abu Khdeir's murder is assumed to have been perpetrated by Jewish extremists angry about the recent killing of three Israelis in the West Bank.

Hamas called on PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas to call off his participation in an Israeli conference to be held in Tel Aviv on Tuesday at a time when a spate of online campaigns calling for Abbas’s departure has been launched. Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said in a statement on Monday that any potential involvement by Abbas in the scheduled seminar is a serious blow to the feelings of Palestinians, particularly in the wake of the unspeakable homicide of the Palestinian child Abu Khdeir.
Abbas’s silence over Israeli crimes in Gaza, the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem has generated a fuss among scores of Facebookers and users of other social networking websites, all calling on Abbas to step down.
Several new online pages and campaigns have been launched under such slogans as “Abbas go home” and “Abbas does not represent me”. The initiative has been highly acclaimed by thousands of fans voicing their disapproval over Abbas’s reluctant positions.
“Abbas must step down right now!” the Information Ministry undersecretary in Gaza, Ihab al-Ghasin, said as he slammed Abbas’s unresponsiveness to the Israeli crimes and his compliant coordination with the Israeli security apparatuses.
While Abbas has strongly condemned the kidnap of three Israeli soldiers near al-Khalil and vowed to bring them back alive by all means and to punish the perpetrators, he has, however, showed no sympathy or concern with the burning of a Palestinian child alive and only issued a terse statement asking Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu to condemn the incident.
For his part, Taher al-Nunu, former media advisor to the Ministerial Council in Gaza, said: “A leadership that does not represent its own people should definitely leave the chair.”
“Your political agenda is a real disappointment that has not managed to heal the rift, but rather deepened it with each and every new day. Is Palestine an experimental lab? In a nutshell, you’d better walk out because you’ve not been up to your allotted mission,” Nunu declared in a message to Abbas.
Writer and political analyst Adnan Abu Amer dubbed Abu Mazen (Abbas) the biggest loser, confirming: “As far as I know, Abbas is going through a state of incomparable isolation that he has never witnessed before. Most of the members of (Fatah) Central Committee are not of the same positions as his.”
Abu Amer recalled the message of al-Jazeera reporter Jivara al-Badri in which she told Abbas: “Why on earth haven’t you been moved an inch by the awful slaughter of the child Abu Khdeir. Excuse me Mr. President but your apathy this time is a sword stabbed in Muhammad’s heart and his colleagues.”

The poll covered a random sample of 1,012 Palestinian respondents representing the various demographic specimens of adult Palestinians (aged 18 years and older) living in the occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza Strip.
According to recent statements made by PCPO President Dr. Nabil Kukali, the Palestinian public is anxious over the backlash of the incident involving three missing settlers who recently turned up near the area from which they went missing, over two weeks ago.
Over half believe that the economic situation in the oPt will worsen in the coming days.
Dr. Kukali notes that the average Palestinian citizen is generally suffering from a severe economic situation and from an incapability to meet a manifold obligation to his family, adding that the ordinary citizen is living in a permanent state of anxiety.
The economic situation in the territories is extremely difficult, according to Kukali, particularly in the Gaza Strip, which suffers from a continuous and ongoing siege, the closure of the border-crossings, as well as restrictions laid on the movement of the Gazans and on the entry of essential goods and wares.

Deputy head of Hamas's political bureau Moussa Abu Marzouk criticized on Sunday the positions of PA chairman Mahmud Abbas and the unity government towards the Gaza Strip since the declaration of the national reconciliation, warning that Hamas could find itself forced to regain control of the besieged Strip.
He expressed fears that his movement will be required to take action and maintain security and stability in Gaza. "Gaza will not live in a vacuum", he wrote on his Facebook page. "Gaza is neither under the responsibility of the former government nor of the unity government."
The crisis occurred when thousands of Gaza civil servants, hired by the former government in the Strip, did not receive their salaries from the unity government that was formed late April.
Abu Marzouk accused the Palestinian Authority (PA) in Ramallah and the unity government of keeping order only in the West Bank. "Does this mean they (PA) have torn up the reconciliation agreement?" he asked.
The Strip was besieged by the PA before any other party, he said, adding that the siege should have been lifted after reaching the reconciliation agreement.
The Hamas leader criticized PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas for not having visited Gaza until now and not bearing his responsibilities towards Gaza civil servants, border crossings, the continued siege, and power crisis.
He also criticized Abbas for caring about the three missing Israeli soldiers and not showing any concern regarding the kidnapping of more than 566 Palestinians and the martyrdom of 5 others in the course of the Israeli search of those soldiers.

Side of a meeting between ministers of the consensus government and deputy ministers in Gaza
Deputy Minister of Education in Gaza, Ziad Thabet unveiled that all deputy ministries in Gaza have boycotted the administrative committee formed by the consensus government as it is ‘ignoring the official Gaza personnel’. Thabet on Sunday said to the local Safa news agency that "The committee, which consists of the Prime Minister and two assistants, was formed in order to communicate with ministries in Gaza, but we were surprised that it is ignoring the Gaza staff. Therefore, the deputy ministers agreed on a decision to boycott the committee,"
"The government must deal with the all employees on the same par of legitimacy,” he said.
The Palestinian Council of Ministers in its 2nd meeting announced the formation of an administrative committee to address personnel issues. As the unity agreement provided, the committee’s mandate shall terminate in four months.
On whether there is contact between the ministries of education in the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip, Thabet’s answer was positive, saying “there have been high contacts with the Ramallah ministry since the years of division, adding, "but such contacts are inefficient and do not solve many of education-related problems existing in Gaza."

The Hamas Movement strongly denounced the Palestinian Authority security apparatuses for declaring their intention to help the Israelis hunt for two Palestinian young men accused of being involved in the kidnapped of three Jewish settlers.
The Movement described such step by the PA as "shameful act and moral turpitude."
Hamas's statement came following a pledge by the PA to bring back the missing Israeli soldiers. The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) pointed the finger at two Palestinian youths, claimed to have carried out the kidnap operation in June 12.
Its spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said that such a pledge carries dangerous implications and reflects the level of the security coordination between the PA apparatuses and the Israeli occupation.
Abu Zuhri stressed that the PA’s role is to protect the Palestinian people from the ongoing Israeli mass killings, terror campaigns and arbitrary arrests, and not to protect Israel and its settlers.
The spokesman called on all concerned parties to step in and take serious action against the PA’s security coordination with the occupation.

Coordinator of Youth against Settlement coalition Issa Amro strongly denounced the passivity of the Palestinian Authority (PA) towards the daily suffering of its citizens in the West Bank and Jerusalem in light of Israel's persistence in its military campaign during the holy month of Ramadan. In press remarks to the Palestinian information center (PIC), youth activist Amro called for a popular uprising in solidarity with more 800,000 citizens in Al-Khalil city suffering from Israel's blockade and mass punishment.
He expressed his shock and dismay at the absence of any support for Al-Khalil citizens by the PA, even with a solidarity speech delivered by president Mahmoud Abbas.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyadh al-Malki participated in the 23rd African Union Summit in Equatorial Guinea on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday.
Al-Malki made a speech briefing African leaders and participants on the updates in the region, and the Israeli escalation against Palestinians being undertaken under the pretext of looking for the three missing Israeli youths.
Al-Malki called upon Africa and the world to not only condemn Israel but also to hold it accountable and pressure it until the occupation ends and a Palestinian state is created.
Al-Malki made his speech after the Israeli delegation left the hall after a number of states raised protests at its attempts to attend as a guest in the summit.
The Arab delegations at the conference protested the presence of the 14-member Israeli delegation, according to the Turkish Anadolu Agency.
"We reject Israel's presence as an observer at the summit," Arab League representative Samir Mohsen was reported saying by the agency, adding that the Israeli delegation was "illegitimate."
