Family of Ahmad Halawa who was beaten to death in the Palestinian Authority (PA) prison at predawn time on Tuesday slammed the cold-blooded execution of the casualty and called for prosecution.
The family called for kicking out Nablus governor, Akram al-Rajoub, and PA security head, Nidhal Abu Dukhan, for their direct involvement in the murder.
The family further called for prosecuting the PA security spokesperson, Adnan Al-Dhemeiri, and forcing him to apologize for his recent statements.
The family also requested that all those killed in the recent events in Nablus be considered as martyrs. The family urged the human rights institutions to keep tabs on the situation of Nablus detainees, families, women, and children, both inside and outside the Old City.
Responding to calls to dismiss him, Nablus governor, Akram al-Rajoub, said the accusations made against him are counterfeit and promoted by people who want the return of chaos and anarchy.
As for Ahmad’s execution, al-Rajoub claimed that this is “an intolerable mistake and anomalous behavior that has been firmly condemned.”

Celtic fans have raised $59,000 for Palestinian charities in defiance over UEFA sanctions for waving Palestinian flags during their team's clash with an Israeli side last week.
Celtic fans raised a whopping $59,000 dollars for Palestinian charities after anticipating a fine from European football's governing body for waving Palestinian flags at last week's Champions League qualifying first leg clash against an Israeli team.
The Glasgow club's Green Brigade group of supporters launched the fundraising effort initially to match an anticipated $20,000 fine from UEFA after fans expressed solidarity with Palestinians during Celtic's match with Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
"At the Champions League match with Hapoel Be'er Sheva on 17 August 2016, the Green Brigade and fans throughout Celtic Park flew the flag for Palestine," read The Green Brigade statement when they launched the appeal.
"This act of solidarity has earned Celtic respect and acclaim throughout the world. It has also attracted a disciplinary charge from UEFA, which deems the Palestinian flag to be an 'illicit banner'.
"In response to this petty and politically partisan act by European football's governing body, we are determined to make a positive contribution to the game and today launch a campaign to #matchthefineforpalestine."
The money raised will be distributed to Medical Aid Palestine, who deliver health and medical care to those "worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement"; and the Lajee Centre, a cultural and sports project for children in Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem.
The Green Brigade said the money for the Lajee centre would be put towards football kit and equipment so they can set up a team, to be called Aida Celtic and who will compete in the Bethlehem youth league.
Celtic - whose hearing is on September 22 - are serial offenders with regards to their supporters where UEFA are concerned, having been up before the governing body eight times in the past five years alone.
Celtic - who play Hapoel in the return leg on Tuesday - were fined $20,000 in 2014 for flying a Palestinian flag at a Champions League game against an Icelandic side.
The UEFA rule, which has sparked the latest hearing, forbids the use of "gestures, words, objects or any other means to transmit any message that is not fit for a sports event, particularly messages that are of a political, ideological, religious, offensive or provocative nature".

A curfew was imposed Saturday evening by the Palestinian Authority (PA) forces in Nablus following clashes that erupted during the funeral procession of the slain Palestinian youth Fares Halaweh.
The PA forces aggressively attacked marchers in the funeral procession of youngster Fares Halaweh, killed by the PA troops a couple of days ago on allegations of involvement in the death of two PA officers in Nablus.
A PIC news correspondent quoted eye-witnesses as stating that 20 PA patrols imposed tight security measures on central Nablus city and cracked down on Palestinian passengers.
The PA troops wreaked havoc on civilian homes and showered al-Qaryoun neighborhood in the Old City of Nablus with teargas canisters. The locals launched cries for help via social media networks over such arbitrary aggressions on Palestinian mourners.
“It’s high time we woke up,” said a mourner in a letter emailed to the PIC. “Both Fares Halaweh and Khaled al-Aghbar were cold-bloodedly killed by the PA forces.”
Several PA troops had been deployed around Nablus’ Old City during the procession. The mourners were subjected to randomly-shot spates of teargas canisters.
The funeral procession kicked off from the Rafidia hospital late in the afternoon. Both Halaweh and al-Aghbar were fatally shot by the PA troops early Friday morning following claims that they shot and killed two PA officers.
Eye-witnesses said such a PA version is counterfeit and that the two casualties were killed after they were arrested by the PA forces.

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) carried out a large-scale arrest campaign against over 20 members and leader of Hamas Movement in the West Bank.
Local sources revealed that Israeli soldiers arrested the Hamas leader Hussein Abu Kuwaik, representative of Hamas in the central elections committee.
The arrest of the Hamas leader Kuwaik came just one day after the committee had announced opening of registration for candidature in the electoral lists of the committee which reflects Israeli targeting of the Movement and the lists it supports.
The sources also reported that the IOF soldiers broke into the home of the Hamas leader Jamal Abu al-Haija in addition to the homes of three of his sons. They searched the houses thoroughly, wreaked havoc on them, and confiscated his son's car.
The forces also confiscated the contents of his son’s electronic devices shop as well as the appliances inside their homes. The Israeli forces stormed the house after midnight by blowing up its main door, Abu al-Haija’s son said.
They gathered the family members in one room and interrogated all of them. Clashes erupted after the storming of Abu al-Haija’s home in Jenin city and in its refugee camp. The arrests also took place in al-Khalil, Ramallah and other locations in Jenin city after storming Palestinians’ homes and confiscating computers and other properties of the arrested.
Hamas: Israel’s abduction of Abu Kweik attempt to manipulate ballot
Hamas condemned on Wednesday Israel’s abduction of the Movement’s representative in the projected Palestinian elections, Hussein Abu Kweik, saying that Israel is trying to meddle in the results of the ballot.
Hamas slammed the abduction, by the Israeli occupation forces, of Abu Kweik from his own family home in al-Am’ari refugee camp, near Ramallah.
Hamas called on the Palestinian Authority (PA), chaired by Mahmoud Abbas, to stop its security coordination with Israel and preplanned abduction of the group’s campaigners in the slated elections.
“The dual targeting of Hamas leaders and affiliates will never dampen our spirits. It will only make us stronger,” the Hamas statement read. The Movement urged the international community to urgently intervene and work on releasing Abu Kweik.
A mass abduction sweep launched by the Israeli occupation army across the West Bank at dawn Wednesday culminated in the abduction of 20 Palestinian civilians, including Abu Kweik and other anti-occupation activists.
