Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday uprooted dozens of Palestinian-owned olive trees to build a settler road in Yasuf village in the West Bank district of Nablus.
Local residents said that this move is just a prelude to the confiscation of vast tracts of Palestinian land in Yasuf and neighboring villages to complete the new road.
At least 3,000 olive trees are expected to be uprooted in the process.
Yasuf, surrounded by three Israeli settlements built illegally on Palestinian land, is one of the most affected villages in Nablus by Israel’s settlement activity.
The Palestinians consider this new road a “dangerous” project that contributes to turning Israel’s isolated settlements in the southern area of Nablus into large cities that would undermine efforts for the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Israeli settlers today torched scores of olive trees in Burin town, south of the West Bank city of Nablus, said a local activist.
Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in the northern West Bank, confirmed that a group of settlers set fire to olive groves to the south of the town. video

Israeli forces today delivered military orders to seize a plot of land belonging to the farmers of Shufa village, southeast of the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm, according to a local source.
Tahseen Hamed, a local activist, told WAFA that Israeli forces posted military orders in Arabic and Hebrew with an enclosed map showing the location of the plot of land, which occupies an area of 3.5 dunums, near the checkpoint at the junction leading to the village, purportedly for security reasons.
He added that the farmers who own the plot have the legal documents attesting to their ownership of it, noting that the land is planted with olive, fig and vine trees and is considered a source of their livelihood.
The land to be seized is located approx. two-kilometres away from the nearby illegal Israeli colonial settlement of Avni Hevets noting that the village is frequently targeted by Israeli forces who at times prevent farmers from accessing their lands as they continue to raze lands seized to make room for colonial settlement expansion.
Such Israeli measures, taken under the guise of security, are intended to entrench Israel’s 53-year-old military occupation of the West Bank and its settler colonial project which it enforces with routine and frequently deadly violence against Palestinians.

The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) in Jerusalem has continued to carry out bulldozing activities on Palestinian-owned land in Wadi al-Rababa area in Silwan district.
According to landowners, the Israeli nature and parks authority forcibly seized a vast tract of land in Wadi al-Rababa and gave itself the right to bulldoze the area despite the presence of previous court verdicts ordering a halt to such operations.
Wadi al-Rababa neighborhood is located in Silwan district, south of the Aqsa Mosque, stretching over nearly 350 dunums of land planted with fruitful trees and perennial olive trees. The entire land is private property belonging to Silwan residents and there are also 100 homes and one Mosque in the area and all of them are threatened with evacuation and demolition.
During the past years, the Israeli municipality in Occupied Jerusalem issued decisions to appropriate about 100 dunums of land in Wadi al-Rababa in order to build a national part and other projects for Jewish settlers.
There is one Jewish settler outpost in Wadi al-Rababa, where the IOA systematically works on seizing more Palestinian land and property to carry out Judaization projects because of their location near the Aqsa Mosque.
