Israel demolishes Palestinian-owned home near Galilee
Israeli bulldozers demolished a Palestinian-owned house, for the second time, in the Manshiyet Zabda village in northern Israel, on Monday.

Locals said that the Israeli authorities demolished the house a second time after residents of the area had rebuilt it following its first demolition.

Sources pointed out that the house is inhabited by 15 people.

Israeli bulldozers uprooted olive trees surrounding the house and razed the house to the ground after destroying its contents.

Palestinian communities in Israel and occupied East Jerusalem have long been targeted by discriminatory Israeli policies, whether through "divide and conquer" tactics, attempts at forcibly displacing Bedouin communities, and what has been denounced as a policy of "Judaization" of Jerusalem at the expense of other religious communities.

The Israeli civil administration Sunday threatened to uproot around 70 full-grown olive trees belonging to a Palestinian farmer in Khirbet al-Humma, in the northern Jordan Valley, under the pretext the land is an 'archaeological site.

Local activist Mutaz Besharat, who monitors settlement activity in the Tubas area, said staff from the Israeli civil administration handed the land owner a notice notifying him of their intentions to uproot around 70 olive trees.

The trees reportedly belong to Palestinian citizen Najeeb Faqha.

Anti-settlement activist Ghassan Daghlas said that a group of Israeli settlers from the illegal settlement of Rahalim destroyed 30 olive trees owned by the Palestinian citizen Sulaiman Ahmad.

Daghlas pointed out that Israeli settlers in the West Bank have recently stepped up their attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property, which are usually carried out under the protection of Israeli soldiers.

The WAFA Palestinian News Agency said the Israeli assailants invaded lands, owned by Khaled Samhan, in the northern part of the village, and uprooted 70 olive saplings. Many of the saplings had been planted in barrels, which were overturned by the paramilitary colonizers. video

WAFA added that the attackers also cut many trees on his lands, and wrote racist graffiti on the large cement cover of an underground water reservoir.

On Saturday at dawn, another group of illegal colonizers cut dozens of Palestinian olive trees, owned by a local resident identified as Nathmi Dheidi, in ‘Arraba town, south of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Illegal Colonizers Cut Dozens Of Olive Trees Near Jenin
Picture
A group of illegal Israeli colonizers cut, on Saturday at dawn, dozens of Palestinian olive trees in ‘Arraba town, south of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said the assailants invaded an orchard, owned by a local resident identified as Nathmi Dheidi, near the illegal Dothan colony, which was built on Palestinian lands.

They added that the colonizers cut dozens of olive trees, which were planted approximately four years ago.

Nathmi said that attack was not the first, as the colonists previously targeted his land, and several other orchards and farmlands in the area.

In related news, Israeli soldiers invaded Ya’bad town, southwest of Jenin, before invading and violently searching many homes, and interrogated several Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

On Friday, Extremist Israeli colonizers chopped down 200 olive trees belonging to Al-Lubban Ash-Sharqiya village, south of Nablus, in northern West Bank.

Palestinian man turn himself in after fatal collision with Israeli settler
Picture
A Palestinian taxi driver, in his sixties, turned himself in to the Palestinian Authority on Thursday evening after the vehicle he was driving hit an Israeli settler. The settler, 42-year-old Hava Rozin, died from her injuries.

After turning himself in, the taxi driver said that he initially fled the scene because he was terrified after he hit the Israeli settler that he would be shot. But after leaving the settler road, he immediately went to the Palestinian Authority in Nablus to report what had happened and turn himself in.

Israeli authorities have, on a number of occasions, shot on site Palestinian drivers who have had traffic accidents with Israeli vehicles, so his fear was not without basis.

The Israeli Intelligence Service Shin Bet announced early Friday morning that there was no evidence that this was a terror attack, saying instead that it was clear that it was a traffic accident.

Nevertheless, dozens of Israeli settlers set off throughout the night into Palestinian areas to carry out ‘revenge attacks’. Gangs of Israeli colonial settlers hurled stones and empty bottles at Palestinian cars in several areas, including near Yitzhar colony, Huwwara and Za’tara military roadblocks, causing damage to more than 40 Palestinian cars, and several injuries.

They also attacked several homes in Jaloud village, and closed many main roads in Nablus governorate, in addition to burning a Palestinian car, owned by Mohammad Issa Makhlouf, in Orif village.

The Israeli assailants also tried to burn a number of homes in Jaloud, but the locals clashed with them, before the army invaded the village and removed the settlers.

They also cut around 200 Palestinian olive trees, owned by Na’el ‘Oweisat, in the al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village, south of Nablus.
In addition, the colonists invaded a cement slab manufacturing plant, and burnt a bulldozer, owned by Mohammad Issa Makhlouf.

200 Olive Trees Cut Down by Illegal Settlers

Extremist Israeli settlers, early Friday, chopped down 200 fruitful olive trees belonging to Al-Lubban Ash-Sharqiya village, south of Nablus, said a local activist, according to WAFA.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors Israeli settlement activity in the northern West Bank, said that settlers from the illegal settlement of Eli broke into Wadi Ali area and chopped down 200 olive trees belonging to Nael Ewesat, a villager from Al-Lubban Ash-Sharqiya.

This came as settlers torched a bulldozer passing nearby Yitzhar settlement and hurled stones and glass bottles at Palestinian vehicles travelling along Nablus-Tulkarem Road, damaging some 40 vehicles.

The attacks came after an Israeli settler was killed by a Palestinian driver in a car accident, initially suspected as a hit-and-run attack late Thursday night.

Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

It includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Between 500,000 and 600,000 Israelis live in Jewish-only settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.

All settlements across the West Bank are illegal under international law, particularly article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which establishes that the occupying power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.

Israeli bulldozers level Palestinian lands near Salfit
Picture
Israeli bulldozers on Sunday uprooted dozens of Palestinian-owned olive and almond trees in Bab al-Marj area of Deir Ballut town, west of Salfit.

Eyewitnesses said that the bulldozers leveled vast tracts of privately-owned lands in the area under the pretext that they are "state property".

Mayor of Deir Ballut Kamal Mousa said that the bulldozing operation, launched by Israel's so-called Civil Administration in Bab al-Marj and Iraq al-Tota areas in Deir Ballut, serves a project to expand Leshem settlement illegally built on Palestinian lands.

For his part, anti-settlement researcher Khaled Ma'ali said that the Israeli occupation authorities claim that the land confiscation notices handed to the residents of Deir Ballut are based on military orders and that the buildings established by Palestinian citizens on the targeted lands are unlicensed.

Ma'ali affirmed that these orders are part of a larger plan to expand Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

The Palestinian researcher stressed that Israel violates international humanitarian law and Fourth Geneva Convention especially Articles 59 and 49 which prohibit land confiscation and transfer of Israeli civilians to occupied territories.

He noted that the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court of 1998 considers any act that causes widespread, long-term and severe damage to the natural environment and violates the principle of proportionality a war crime.

IOF soldiers also handed over a demolition order stipulating the destruction of a structure in the area for settlement expansion.

Israeli bulldozers on Wednesday leveled Palestinian lands east of Deir Balout town, to the west of Salfit, in favor of illegal settlement expansion.

Over recent days, over 100 olive trees got chopped down and cultivated lands bulldozed as part of Israel’s illegal settlement activities across Salfit.

Palestinian farmer Abdullah Idris said Israeli bulldozes uprooted his olive trees and destroyed his crops planted on his private land.

Idris warned of underway attempts by the Israeli occupation authorities to grab hold of fertile lands in the area.

Researcher Khaled Maali has warned of the swift pace of Israel’s settlement activity in the area, which he said contravenes international laws and treaties.

Picture
Jewish settlers attacked, on Tuesday, Palestinian homes in the northern West Bank village of Assira al-Qibliya, and set farmland on fire, according to Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlers’ activities in the north of the West Bank.

Daghlas told WAFA that settlers from the illegal Yitzhar settlement attacked the Palestinian homes and torched land planted with olive trees.

He said that residents rushed to defend their homes and land but the Israeli army intervened, to protect the settlers, and confronted the residents, shooting at them to keep them back.

Residents also physically confronted the soldiers, as well as the settlers, he said.

New Israeli attack reported on Bab al-Rahma in Jerusalem
Picture
Israeli police on Saturday morning launched a new attack on Bab al-Rahma area east of al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem.

According to Jerusalem's Islamic Awqaf Department, Israeli policemen in the early morning hours wreaked havoc in Bab al-Rahma area.

It added in a brief statement that al-Aqsa guards confronted the Israeli police and forced them to stop the attack.

Bab al-Rahma has been repeatedly attacked by the police over the past month after settler groups claimed on social media websites that the cleaning campaign launched in the area following some restorations there is an "act of vandalism".

The Israeli police further uprooted olive trees planted in the area and destroyed the new stairs built of al-Aqsa Mosque stones.
