Palestinian Youth killed in Jerusalem; Witnesses Say Troops Shot Him for no Reason

Israeli troops shoot and killed a Palestinian youth on Saturday morning in the al-Misrara area, in Bab al-Amoud in occupied east Jerusalem.

Israeli media sources said that the youth tried to stab two settlers before he was shot dead by Israeli officers.

Palestinian news sources identified the killed youth as 16-year-old Ishaq Badran from the town of Kufer Aqeb near Jerusalem.

Last Saturday Israeli police shoot and killed a Palestinian teenager at the same location. The young man was running away from Israeli radical settlers mob towards Israeli police officers who shot him dead.

Journalist, Dalyia Al Namari from Russia Today Arabic news channel was on scene today and said that Palestinian witness told her that the youth did not attack any settlers and was shot by Israeli soldiers without any reason.

Israeli police attacked Al Namari and forced her away from the area while she was live on TV meanwhile they shot and injured another Palestinian cameraman in the area.

Earlier on Saturday morning, medical sources reported that two Palestinians died of severe gunshot injuries they suffered at the hands of Israeli soldiers in separate incidents, one in occupied Jerusalem, and one in Deir al-Balah, in Central Gaza.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that by Saturday morning the death toll due to Israeli attacks on Palestinians since the start of October have reached 16. Of those nine were killed in the West Bank and seven in the Gaza Strip.

Moreover, at least 1000 Palestinians have been injured since the start of October as Israeli troops continued to fire live rounds and rubber-coated steel bullets at protesters, the ministry reported on Saturday morning.

West Bank: Scores Injured as Palestinian Youth Clashes with Invading Israeli Forces

More than a dozen civilians were injured by Israeli army live gunfire and rubber-coated steel bullets, and scores others were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation during ongoing clashes in different parts of the west Bank on Saturday.

In the central West Bank city of Ramallah, Israeli soldiers attacked a students’ protest near the Beit Eil military base and settlement at the northern entrance of the city.

Five youth were injured, one critically, as soldiers fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and tear gas at the unarmed protesters.

Palestinian medical sources said that the youth who was critically injured near Beit Eil was hit with an explosive live round in his abdomen.

Elsewhere, Israeli troops attacked villagers of Yatta village in southern West Bank as they marched in the funeral of Amjad Al Jinidi, 17. He was killed by Israeli troops on Wednesday agedly after he tried to stab soldiers near the illegal settlement of Kriat Gat near Yatta.

Seven youth were injured, one child was kidnapped by troops as Israeli forces stormed the village and attacked residents homes and protesting youth.

While covering the Israeli invasion of Yatta, Israeli forces attacked journalists from Palestine Today satellite channel and other journalists present in the area.

Also in southern West Bank, Palestinian youth clashes with Israeli troops at the northern entrance of Bethlehem city, up until the time of this report no injuries were reported.

In Sho’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem residents clashes with Israeli troops when they attacked the funeral of Ahmad Salah, 24, who was killed by an Israeli sniper on Saturday at dawn.

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that seven Palestinian civilians were killed on Friday and at least 153 others were injured by Israeli troops gunfire during ongoing clashes between Palestinian Youth and Israeli troops in different areas of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced on Friday that 1640 Palestinians have been injured all over the West Bank since the start of October until Thursday midnight.

101 were injured after being hit by Israeli troops’ live gunfire, 442 were injured by rubber-coated steel bullets and 1066 were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation. In addition there was 31 residents who were injured after being beat-up by soldiers, the RCS reported.

Israeli sniper aims at Palestinian protesters in Nablus city northern West Bank on Friday

During renewed clashes on Saturday at dawn, four Palestinian youth were critically injured, one of them kidnapped, by Israeli troops who invaded Shu’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem. Clashes were also reported in other parts of the city at dawn on Saturday.

According to Palestinian sources, Israeli forces invaded Shu’fat refugee camp from different areas and started to shoot live rounds and tear gas at residents’ homes. Local youth tried to stop the invasion and hurled stones at invading troops.

Witnesses said that three youth were injured by live rounds fired by Israeli invading forces and Israeli troops kidnapped one of the youth. As of the time of this report, the army has now allowed local medics to provide him with help.

In the town of Al-'Eesawiyya near Jerusalem, one youth was injured after being hit in the head by live gunfire fired by Israeli soldiers his head during clashes between local youth and invading Israeli soldiers.

Moreover, a local journalist, Khadija Obeed, was kidnapped by Israeli troops as she was going to her home in Al-'Eesawiyya.

More clashes between Palestinian youth and Israeli soldiers were also reported in Wadi Al Joz and the nearby old city of Jerusalem.

On Thursday evening a Palestinian youth was killed and at least 35 others injured during clashes in Shu’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem. Wesam Faraj, 20, was shot by an explosive live round fired by Israeli soldiers directly to his heart, Palestinian medical sources reported.

The clashes erupted on Thursday when Israeli forces invaded the camp and tried to raid the family home of Subhi Abu Khalifa, who is accused of alleged stabbing and injured two settlers in Jerusalem earlier on Thursday midday.

The Israeli government recently activated an old law to allow its army to demolish the homes of family members of Palestinians alleged to have attacked Israelis.

3 Palestinian youths killed at the hands of IOF in Gaza

Three Palestinian young men were killed at the hands of Israeli occupation forces (IOF) while demonstrating near Gaza borders in solidarity with the West Bank revolt against Israeli atrocities.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qidra, the health ministry spokesman, said that one of three was a teenager, adding that 20 others were wounded including two journalists.

He said that two of the wounded were in very serious condition and were taken to the Shifa hospital in Gaza City.

The PIC reporter said that dozens of young men headed to the borders near Nahal Oz military position to the east of Gaza City after the Friday prayer while raising Palestinian flags and chanting anti-occupation slogans.

He added that the IOF soldiers fired live rounds at the young men, who responded by throwing stones.

Meanwhile, in southern Gaza Strip, groups of young men marched to the southern borders to the east of Khan Younis and torched tires and chanted slogans against the occupation’s crimes.

IOF troops opened live fire at the peaceful demonstrators injuring two of them, one of them was hit with a bullet in his neck and his condition was described as serious.

288 Palestinians injured in latest clashes

Dozens of Palestinians were injured during violent clashes that broke out Wednesday across West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, medical sources said.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, 288 Palestinians were injured across the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, including 89 by rubber-coated steel bullets and 10 with live rounds and 189 who suffered from tear gas inhalation.

In Ramallah, an Israeli undercover unit kidnapped four Palestinian youths during clashes that broke out at Beit El checkpoint north of the city. One of the detainees was seriously injured after being shot in his head with a live bullet.

The clashes broke out when Israeli forces quelled a large march that set-off from Birzeit University towards the Beit El settlement.

The Israeli forces heavily fired rubber-coated bullets, tear gas, and live fire at the youths.

Journalists were also attacked during the clashes while trying to film the kidnapping process of four Palestinian youths.

Hundreds of students have participated in the massive march heading to Beit El settlement in protest against settlers’ deadly attacks.

In al-Khalil, fierce clashes were reported in different parts of the city between local youths and Israeli forces.

Clashes broke out in the town of Beit Ummar north of the city, when Imad al-Sleibi, 17, was detained by Israeli forces and taken to the nearby illegal Israeli settlement of Karmi Tzur.

A local official said Israeli soldiers chased several other youths in an attempt to detain them during clashes in the al-Thahr area of Beit Ummar, near the settlement, taking over the rooftops of three homes in the area and firing tear-gas and stun grenades from the roofs, causing several teargas suffocation cases among locals.

Similar clashes were reported in Yatta town between Israeli forces and Palestinian youths after a Palestinian man, identified as a young man from the area, was killed in Kiryat Gat in southern Israel.

In Bethlehem, several youths choked on teargas as clashes erupted at the northern entrance of the town.

In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli police stormed and violently searched the house of Shourouk Dweikat who was earlier shot and seriously injured by an Israeli settler in the Old City. Shourouk was hospitalized in critical condition.

In Qalqilia, several youths were injured while some others were detained as clashes broke out at the entrance of the city amid heavy fire of teargas bombs. At least four youths were hit with rubber-coated bullets, eyewitnesses said.

In Jericho, confrontations were reported after Israeli police suppressed a peaceful march organized in the city in defense of al-Aqsa Mosque and in protest against settlers’ attacks against Palestinians and their properties.

Four Palestinians were hit with rubber-coated bullets during the clashes, while 30 choked on teargas. Three minors were also detained during the clashes including a boy with special needs.

Over the past week, there have been increasing clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinians over the storming of the al-Aqsa Mosque by settlers, who are being backed by Israel's right-wing government.

Ministry Of Health: “129 Palestinians Injured By Israeli Army Fire, Tuesday”

The Palestinian Ministry of Health (MOH) in the occupied West Bank has reported that at least 129 Palestinians have been injured by Israeli army fire and gas bombs in different parts of the West Bank, Tuesday, and that the soldiers deliberately targeted medics and journalists.

In a press release, the MOH said fifty wounded Palestinians were transferred to the Palestine Medical Center in Ramallah; two of them suffered serious injuries after being shot with live Israeli rounds, while the rest suffered mild-to-moderate wounds.

It added that eleven Palestinians were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets in Bethlehem.

Seven more Palestinians were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets, while many residents suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation. in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.

Furthermore, 45 Palestinians were injured in Nablus, and 16 in Jenin, both in the northern part of the West Bank, suffered mild-to-moderate injuries.

Media sources in Jenin said two were shot with live rounds, and dozens suffered the effects of teargas inhalation, during clashes near the al-Jalama roadblock, north of Jenin.

The soldiers also invaded a pottery store near the roadblock, and kidnapped the owner after assaulting him.

Head of the Emergency Unity of the Red Crescent in Jenin Mahmoud Sa’adi said the soldiers also fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs on protesters, who peacefully marched against the escalating Israeli violations, wounding two children, identified as Ahmad Abdul-Rahim and Mohammad Omran Sabah, in their legs.

The two were moved to a hospital, while many Palestinians received treatment for the effects of tear gas inhalation.

He also said that the soldiers attacked medics, and deliberately opened fire on a Red Crescent Ambulance, near Ramallah, smashing its windshield.

In the Hebron district, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, soldiers wounded many Palestinians, especially on the main junction leading to Kharsa village, and the Halhoul Bridge, during clashes that took place in the two areas.

The soldiers also fired gas bombs at many homes, causing families to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

Two young men were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets in Bab az-Zawiya, in the center of Hebron city.

Medical sources said two young men, 19 and 22 years of age, have been moved to the Hebron Governmental Hospital, suffering moderate injuries after being shot with rubber-coated steel bullets.

Ramallah: Four Injured in Renewed Clashes

At least four Palestinians were injured, one critically as clashes between local youth and invading Israeli troops are reported in a number of locations in Ramallah city, central West Bank.

At Qalandiya checkpoint between Ramallah and Jerusalem, Israeli troops attacked Palestinian youths protesting the Israeli army and settlers violation in Jerusalem and the West Bank. troops used live gunfire, rubber-coated steel bullets and tear gas.

Medical sources said that four residents were injured, one critically in the head by a live round and two were hit one in the leg and one to his face with rubber-coated steel bullets. A journalist was also moved to hospital after being hit by Isralei gunfire in his leg.

Meanwhile, clashes were also reported at the northern entrance of Ramallah, near the illegal Israeli settlement of Beit Eil.

The recent wave of clashes started last week when Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli troops continued to invade Al Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem and dined access to Palestinian worshipers.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, 700 Palestinian have ben inured by Israeli army gunfire since the start of October.

Four Injured By Israeli Army Fire In Kufur Qaddoum

Israeli soldiers attacked, Friday, the weekly nonviolent protest in Kufur Qaddoum, near the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, wounding three Palestinians, including a journalist, with live fire, while one child was shot with a gas bomb, and many others suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The protesters marched following Friday noon prayers, while chanting for the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, subject to escalating Israeli attacks, and the ongoing violations in the rest of the occupied territories.

They also chanted for liberation and independence, called for the release of all detainees, and in support of the Palestinian diplomatic moves in various international organizations, especially United Nations agencies.

Coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements in Kufur Qaddoum, Morad Eshteiwy, said the soldiers used excessive force against the nonviolent protesters, wounding Ahmad Tal’at, a cameraman working for the Italian News Agency, with a live round in the leg.

The cameraman was wearing a clearly marked journalism vest, and was carrying three cameras.

The Israeli attack led to clashes between the soldiers, and dozens of local youths, who hurled stones and empty bottles on them.

Soldiers also shot and wounded 'Aref Marwan, 17 years of age, and Nasr 'Aqel, 41, with live rounds in their legs, while Raed Husam, 16, was shot with a gas bomb in the arm.

The four wounded Palestinians received treatment by local medics before being moved to the Rafidia Hospital in Nablus.

Kufur Qaddoum residents, and supporters, hold weekly marches demanding the army to reopen the main road that was blockaded by the army thirteen years ago.

Child, 2 journalists injured in IOF attacks on pro-Aqsa demos

A Palestinian child and two journalists sustained injuries and choked on tear gas overnight Tuesday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) rolled into the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil and aggressively disbanded a group of Palestinian unarmed protesters.

Local sources told a PIC news reporter that the journalists Ali al-Ja’ba and Anas Abu Rmeileh choked on tear gas canisters that were randomly unleashed by the IOF during the clashes that broke out in the Old City of al-Khalil.

The Israeli occupation troops sealed off the access road to the al-Ibrahimi Mosque with concrete roadblocks, setting the stage for break-ins by extremist settlers into the Islamic sacred place of worship.

The occupation troops have also come down heavily on the peaceful Muslim congregation, preventing them from entering the Mosque to perform their prayers.

According to local sources, hundreds of fanatic Israelis stormed the al-Ibrahimi Mosque on Tuesday amid heavy police escort.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian child Tareq Abu Ayash sustained bullet injuries during the clashes that flared up in al-Khalil’s northern town of Beit Ummar.

A number of Palestinian civilians also sustained breathing disorders in the confrontations that rocked al-Khalil’s southern area.

Eyewitnesses said the Israeli troops targeted the unarmed Palestinian demonstrators and civilian homes with randomly-shot spates of rubber bullets and tear gas grenades before they propped up military reinforcement across the area.

Mass-rallies swept the Occupied West Bank on Tuesday in protest at Israeli attacks on the holy al-Aqsa Mosque and the peaceful Muslim sit-inners.

Three Injured By Army Fire Near Bethlehem, Soldiers Attack Journalists In Nablus

Palestinian medical sources have reported, on Friday evening, that three Palestinians were injured by live Israeli army fire in Teqoua’ town, east of Bethlehem, while many residents suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation. The army also attacked, and wounded, two journalists near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Head of the Teqoua’ Local Council, Taiseer Abu Mfarreh, told the WAFA News agency that three young men were shot in their thighs, during clashes that took place with the soldiers after the several Israeli military vehicles invaded Khalil al-Wazeer area, in the center of the town.

Abu Mfarreh added that dozens of Palestinians, including children, suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The soldiers also stopped Palestinian ambulances and medics while trying to enter the town, occupied rooftops of many homes after searching them, and used them as monitoring posts.

In related news, soldiers attacked two journalists, working for the French Press Agency, wounding one of them, and broke their cameras and equipment.

The attack took place during clashed between the soldiers and dozens of local youths after the army invaded Beit Forik town, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Cameraman Abbas al-Momani said that, as he and his team reached the main entrance of Beit Forik, the soldiers assaulted them, and smashed their equipment.

He added that the soldiers also attacked, and injured, a foreign journalist; medics moved him to the Rafidia Hospital in Nablus.

PA security quells Bethlehem rally urging Abbas to step down

The Palestinian Authority (PA) apparatuses attacked on Sunday a group of Palestinian citizens after they took to Bethlehem streets to demand Abbas’s resignation.

According to a PIC journalist, the rally-goers chanted slogans urging the PA Chairman, Mahmoud Abbas, to step down and cease security coordination with the Israeli occupation.

Clashes flared up after the PA soldiers prevented the marchers from reaching the district headquarters.

The PA forces reportedly unleashed live ammunition to disband the demonstrators.

Photojournalists Muheissen al-Amareen, 30, and Mu’adh Amarna, 28, along with the youth activist Mondher Ameira and four unidentified protesters were abducted by the PA apparatuses in the process.

The protesters rallied in front of the Duheisha refugee camp shortly afterwards and closed the access road in protest at the PA violations.

Meanwhile, local media sources said the PA intensified military deployment in the area in an attempt to quell further protests demanding the departure of Abbas.

Earlier, on Friday, the PA forces attacked a peaceful demo staged in support of the holy al-Aqsa Mosque and the peaceful Muslim sit-inners.

Prisoner goes on hunger strike in solidarity with his son

Prisoner Fathi Raja Khatib, 56, began an open-ended hunger strike in his Israeli jail in solidarity with his son Ahmad who is detained by the Palestinian Authority and who is on hunger strike for three days now protesting his political detention.

Khatib's family confirmed that they had received a massage from his lawyer stating that he had gone on hunger strike.

The journalist Ahmad Khatib was detained by the Palestinian Authority security apparatuses last week, and then his detention was extended for 15 days. He is now in the Palestinian intelligence prison in Ramallah.

Captive Ahmad Khatib, 27, was freed last June from Israeli occupation jails after about a year in administrative custody, without trial or charge.

The father Fathi Khatib, detained since 2002, was sentenced to 29 life imprisonment terms plus 20 years. The Israeli occupation authorities accused him of providing transportation for Abdel-Baset Oudeh who carried out a human bombing operation in the Israeli hotel "Park".
