Dozens of Israeli soldiers, accompanied by a number of military bulldozers, invaded on Wednesday morning the Khashm ad-Daraj and Um al-Kheir villages, east of Yatta town south of the southern West Bank district of Hebron, and demolished several structures. The soldiers also assaulted a pregnant woman, causing internal bleeding.
Coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements Rateb Jabour told the Palestine News Network that a large military force invaded Khashm ad-Daraj village, and demolished a cave, an external toilet, sheds and barns, and homes belonging to three residents identified as Mustafa Salem at-Tanbi, Ahmad Awwad at-Tanbi, and Eid at-Tanbi.
Soldiers also invaded Um al-Kheir village, east of Yatta, and demolished a clay oven used by the residents, and violently assaulted several Palestinians causing cuts and bruises.
Some of the wounded have been identified as Mo’tasem, Mousa, Tareq, Yasser, Amna, Maleeha and Suleiman al-Hathalin.
Jabour said the soldiers also attacked a pregnant woman, causing her internal bleeding before she was rushed to a local hospital.
The soldiers said settlers of the nearby illegal Karmiel settlement are “annoyed” by the wood smoke of the oven, adding that this is the third time the soldiers demolish the clay oven this week alone.
The attack led to clashes between the invading soldiers and local youths, and the soldiers attempted to kidnap a Palestinian but the residents managed to prevent the arrest.
Around 1200 Palestinians live in the Khashm ad-Daraj village, facing daily hardships due to ongoing attacks carried out by Israeli soldiers and settlers targeting farmlands, livestock, sheds and structures.
Earlier on Wednesday, the army demolished a home in Salah ed-Deen Street, in occupied East Jerusalem rendering eight family members homeless.

Scores of Israeli soldiers and police officers invaded, on Tuesday, the Secondary School for Boys in Silwan town, in occupied east Jerusalem, before attempting to kidnap a number of students.
Issam al-Abbasi, secretary of the Parents Committee of Silwan schools, stated that dozens of undercover soldiers invaded the yards of the school, and its rooms, before attempting to kidnap a number of students.
Al-Abbassi said the administration of the school and the teachers prevented the soldiers from searching the classrooms, adding that the soldiers also attacked several students and teachers.
He said the invasion into the school even violates an Israeli court ruling preventing the army from breaking into schools, but the soldiers went ahead and invaded it.
The army claimed that a student hurled stones at their jeep, and ran into the school, but al-Abbasi refuted the Israeli claims and said the students were in their classrooms with their teachers.
He added that, since last week, the soldiers started extensive deployment in the Schools Street in Ras al-‘Amoud neighborhood in Jerusalem, and carried out repeated provocative acts against the students and residents in the area.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday stepped up their abduction campaigns throughout the West Bank, Occupied Jerusalem, and Gaza, throwing Palestinian natives and residential quarters into wholesale disarray.
Local sources said the IOF at dawn Tuesday rounded up two Palestinian youths from the Aida refugee camp, north of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, after having stormed their family homes and ransacked them.
A 53-year-old ex-prisoner was nabbed by the IOF from his own family home in Marah Rabah village south of Bethlehem.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society in Bethlehem said the IOF apprehended the elderly civilian, Youssef Ibrahim al-Sheikh, after they suddenly broke into his home, paying no heed to the cardio-vascular disorders the latter has been diagnosed with.
Meanwhile, a number of suffocations cases was detected among the schoolchildren of the Aida refugee camp following a round of clashes with the IOF.
Eye-witnesses said the invading IOF troops targeted the youths with heavy barrages of tear gas canisters and sound bombs.
Earlier, on Monday afternoon, the Israeli occupation soldiers kidnapped the Palestinian youth Ahmad Awda, 21, after dragging him to Etzion’s intelligence detention center to the south of Bethlehem city.
The IOF stormed residential neighborhoods in al-Khalil city and kidnapped another Palestinian citizen.
The Israeli occupation troops further nabbed Hamas spokesperson in Ramallah, Saed Abu al-Bahaa, and took him to an unidentified destination moments after they pushed their way into his family home.
Fuad al-Khuffash, Head of the Ahrar Center for Prisoner Studies and Human Rights, dubbed Abu al-Bahaa’s arrest an undeniable proof of Israel’s attempts at evacuating the West Bank from its resistance icons.
The flood of Israeli mass-arrests spread out to Occupied Jerusalem and culminated in the abduction of the young man Ayman Salem from Jabal al-Makbar, southeast of the city.
Sources in the Gaza Strip further reported the kidnap of two Palestinian youths, at their twenties, east of Juhr Ad-Dick town, in central Gaza following an IOF’s infiltration into the area, in another flagrant breach to the terms of the truce accord signed in Cairo a couple of months ago.
At least 470 Gazans are locked up in Israeli jails, mostly fishermen, ex-prisoners and citizens serving long sentences.
The Israeli minister of internal security, Yitzhak Aharonovich, estimated, during a Knesset hearing on Monday, the number of Palestinians detained since the latest Israeli offensive on Gaza at about 900.

Israel to seal or demolish suspect's family home
Israeli police clashed with Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem, on Saturday, just ahead of the funeral of a man who drove into a crowd, Wednesday, killing an Israeli baby.
Tensions in the region were further stoked by news of a West Bank teenager who was shot dead by police, on Friday, in addition to the recent and all-too-familiar reports of two small children being rammed by a settler car in Sinjil. (5-year-old Einas Khalil did not survive the attack.)
Police were reportedly "ready for anything" Saturday, according to AFP, after Israeli settler vehicles were hit by rocks on roads around Ramallah, and disturbances in East Jerusalem prompted four forced detentions overnight.
Police branded Wednesday's incident as a "terror attack", after Abd al-Rahman Shaludi, 21, from East Jerusalem's occupied Silwan neighborhood, drove at high speed into a crowd of Israelis at a light rail station, killing three-month-old Haya Zissel Braun and injuring six others.

However, little attention has been given to the recently escalating settler attacks targeting not only Palestinian adults and their property, but children and teenagers, as well.
Shaludi was shot dead by police as he fled on foot, according to AFP. Palestinian sources said he was scheduled to be buried in Jerusalem, at 10:00 pm on Saturday.
Public radio asserted that the timing was set by Israeli authorities, who imposed a maximum limit of 80 mourners "for fear that the event could turn into a violent protest", as is typical for such venues, as Israeli police and settlers are want to provoke mourners into further confrontations.
According to Ma'an News Agency, Israeli Minister of Internal Security Yitzhak Aharonovich recently announced that sanctions would be imposed on Shaludi's family in Silwan. Israeli news website Ynet reported Friday that, according to the minister, the house of Abd al-Rahman Shalloudi would either be sealed or demolished.
In Silwan, on Saturday, locals threw stones at a sanitation vehicle that was sent to clean up debris from Friday's round of stone throwing there, upon which police met the crowd with tear gas, stun grenades, and rubber-coated steel bullets, in typical fashion.
In al-Tur (Mount of Olives district), masked Palestinians blocked the road with garbage bins, this time throwing petrol bombs in addition to stones, police stated.
Near East Jerusalem's Shu'fat refugee camp, protesters targeted the light rail with more stones, as locals consider it to be a symbol of Israel's further annexation of the occupied area. A carriage window was reportedly damaged, but no one was injured.
In related West Bank news, relatives of Palestinian teenager Orwa Hammad, shot dead Friday, announced that his funeral would take place on Sunday, to allow his father time to travel from the United States, where he is a resident citizen.
