Ya'alon: We are ready to face any Palestinian escalation in the W. Bank
Picture
Moshe Ya'alon is responsible for countless war crimes against the Palestinians

Israeli war minister Moshe Ya'alon said that the Israeli security agencies watch with great concern the growing spate of Palestinian resistance operations in the West Bank and are ready to deal with any escalation. Ya'alon made his remarks during a session held by the Knesset committee on foreign affairs and security on Wednesday.

He expressed his belief that the wave of what he described as the recent subversive attacks were unbearable and resulted from the Palestinian incitement campaign and the failure of the Palestinian authority to curb it.

The Israeli official, however, ruled out the possibility that such Palestinian attacks would be an engine for a third intifada.

For his part, head of the committee Avigdor Lieberman said that any peace settlement with the Palestinian side must be based on a long-term transitional agreement guaranteeing security for Israel and economic well-being for the Palestinians.

Hamas: The UN, Feltman look at things with one eye
Picture
The Hamas Movement strongly denounced Jeffrey Feltman, the deputy secretary-general of the UN, for considering the tunnel that was discovered lately east of Khan Younis district in Gaza a breach of the truce agreement. Its spokesman Fawzi Barhoum stated in a press release on Wednesday that Feltman looks at things with one eye.

"Feltman's remarks were biased in favor of the Zionist occupation and ignored all the attacks and violence that had been committed by the occupation against Gaza and its people," the spokesman stated.

Barhoum noted that Israel almost on a daily basis attacks farmers and fishermen, bulldozes agricultural lands and kills or kidnaps civilians every once in a while in the besieged Gaza Strip.

He stressed that such remarks vindicated further the failure of the UN and the international community to do justice to the occupied Palestinian people and protect them against Israel's murder and oppression.

"The resistance has realized that it has the right to find a way to protect and defend its people against the use of all weapons of death and destruction by the occupation," the spokesman underlined.

Turkish Hackers attack Israeli sites
Picture
Turkish hackers have launched a cyber attack on Israeli websites, as a response to the Israeli threats against Turkish intelligence chief Hakan Fidan, Turkish media sources revealed. Turkish activists have declared an electronic campaign in support of the head of Turkish intelligence after being subjected to an Israeli incitement campaign launched by an Israeli writer who stated

"If anyone deserves to find a special surprise in his car one morning, it’s Fidan, the Turkish spy chief."

As a response, Turkish hackers have pirated Israeli sites and published Fidan's photos and Turkish flag and logos reading “We will launch an electronic war against all states that are labeled as hostile to our country and our religion.”

Israeli sources have admitted that Israel lost $ 55 million during the three first months of 2013 due to cyber attacks launched by supporters of the Palestinian cause around the world.

Picture
A number of extremist Israeli settlers gathered at the eastern entrance of Bethlehem city, near Hilwa Tomb bridge area, and threw stones at a number of Palestinian vehicles.

The Radio Bethlehem 2000 has reported that the young extremist settlers caused excessive damage to a number of cars driving into Bethlehem, and cars heading to Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

The attack caused traffic ham on the road especially since this road is one of the most active roads in the area as it is the only road the Palestinians can use when driving from the southern part of the West Bank, to areas in central and northern parts.

Also on Tuesday, extremist settlers uprooted dozens of olive saplings, and grapevines that belong to residents of the Al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem.

Palestinians Breach Section Of Annexation Wall In East Jerusalem
Picture
Tuesday Evening October 22, 2013] A number of Palestinian youths managed to dig a hole in a section of the Israeli Annexation Wall, isolating the Al-Ezariyya town, east of occupied East Jerusalem.

Media sources in Al-Ezariyya have reported that the Palestinians managed to breach four meters of the illegal Wall, and crossed into occupied Jerusalem.

The sources added that the act came in retaliation to the ongoing illegitimate Israeli policies of demolishing Palestinian homes in occupied Jerusalem, and its surrounding towns.

On Monday night after midnight, Israeli soldiers invaded Abu Dis nearby town, and demolished a home that belongs to resident Ashraf Abu Sneina, near the Al-Quds University.

The invasion led to clashes with local youths, and the army fired dozens of gas bombs, concussion grenades, and rubber-coated metal bullets, leading to dozens of injuries.

Fire also broke out in a building that belongs to the university, while several trees have also been burnt.

The invading soldiers also kidnapped a number of residents, and searched several homes.

Back in May this year, several Palestinian youths managed to dig a hole and breached the illegal Annexation Wall in Abu Dis, before Israeli soldiers attacked them, firing rounds of live ammunition, gas bomber, and rubber-coated metal bullets.

Picture
A number of Israeli soldiers attacked on Tuesday [October 22, 2013] a Palestinian child at one of the military roadblocks in the Old City of Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank. The child lost consciousness and was moved to a local hospital.

Medical sources said that Red Crescent medics provided the child, Hamdan Mohammad Sha’abna, 15, with the urgently needed first aid, and moved him to the Hebron Governmental Hospital in the city.

The child suffered concussion due to being repeatedly hit and punched in the head, and suffered internal bleeding as the soldiers also kicked him in his abdomen, in addition to kicking and punching him in the arms and legs, the Radio Bethlehem 2000 has reported.

His mother said that as she and her child were trying to cross a military roadblock in Bab Az-Zaweya area, two Israeli soldiers stopped them and asked the child to show them his ID card. The child said he does not have one, as ID cards are issued at age 16.

The soldiers then forced the child against a wall before a soldier kicked him in the legs and continued to punch him and hit him with his rifle on his abdomen, followed by several blows to the head; the child fell unconscious, barely breathing.

Medical sources at the Hebron Hospital said that the child is currently in a stable condition, and that he will remain hospitalized for further checkups to ensure full recovery, and to ensure the violent beating did not lead to serious damage to his organs.

In related news, a number of extremist Israeli settlers illegally occupied a Palestinian home at the entrance of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.

Local sources have reported that the settlers moved furniture and supplies into the building, and added that the location of the property is very important as it next to the road the Palestinians take to enter the mosque.

Residents expressed fear that, should the settlers turn the property into an outpost, Muslim worshipers heading to the mosque will be subject to ongoing assaults.

Dozens injured in confrontations after Asy’s murder
Picture
Dozens of Palestinian citizens were injured in confrontations with Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Bilin village on Tuesday after the murder of Mohammed Asy at the hands of those forces. The PIC reporter in Ramallah said that IOF soldiers used live bullets in addition to teargas and sound bombs to disperse the angry crowd.

He said that hundreds of young men closed all roads leading out of Bilin and Kufr Nima villages during the IOF withdrawal, which triggered the clashes.

He said that 13 Palestinians, including an ambulance driver, suffered gunshot wounds in the confrontations.

He added that Amjad Showman, a reporter with Watan TV station, was wounded when the IOF soldiers targeted journalists trying to cover the event.

Settlers uproot 53 olive trees in Qalqiliya, attack farmer
Picture
Israeli settlers on Tuesday uprooted 53 olive trees in Kafr Laqif village west of Qalqiliya, officials said.

Ghassan Douglas, a Palestinian Authority official who monitors settlement activities in the northern West Bank, said that a number of Israeli settlers from the Karni Shomron settlement uprooted around 53 olive trees belonging to Suleiman Jaber.

In a separate incident, Israeli settlers from the Yitzhar settlement assaulted and beat a Palestinian man, Mohammad al-Zein, from Burin village south of Nablus.

At the time of the attack, al-Zein was cultivating his land. He suffered from various wounds as a result of the assault.

Israeli settler attacks on Palestinians increase markedly during the annual olive harvest, when settlers frequently attempt to prevent Palestinians from reaching their land.

The Israeli military often protects Israeli settlers who target Palestinians. Additionally, Israeli forces also target those Palestinians who respond to settler attacks.

More than 500,000 Israeli settlers live in settlements across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, in contravention of international law. The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.

Israel displaces 17 families for Jordan Valley military drill
Picture
Israeli forces temporarily displaced 17 Palestinian families from their dwellings in Burj al-Mayta and al-Baziq neighborhoods in the northern Jordan Valley late Monday night and Tuesday morning for military drills in the area, a local official said.

The mayor of al-Malih and the Bedouin dwellings in the northern Jordan Valley, Aref Daraghmeh, said that eight families were evacuated Monday night in al-Baziq and nine families were evacuated Tuesday morning in Burj al-Mayta.

He explained that the residents and their livestock were left homeless for the period of the evacuation.

Israeli forces, added Daraghmah, started a military drill in Burj al-Mayta early Tuesday which will last until the evening.

Large numbers of military tanks and armored vehicles partook in the maneuvers using live ammunition.

Around 94 percent of the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea area is off limits to Palestinian use and development. More than 500,000 Israeli settlers live in settlements across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, in contravention of international law.

The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.

Israeli forces raid villages across Jenin, detain 2
Picture
Israeli forces raided houses in the northern West Bank village of Sansour and detained two Palestinian men Tuesday morning, security sources said.

They detained Bilal Abdul Latif Al-Ayasa, 21, and Bilal Hilal Hababa, 20, after ransacking their houses.

The sources confirmed that more than seven military vehicles had raided the village.

The raids and detentions were part of a wider campaign of raids on Palestinian residential areas across various regions of Jenin district that took place on Tuesday.

An Israeli spokeswoman confirmed the two arrests and said the men were wanted for suspicion of participating in "illegal activity."

In Jaba, in the southern region of Jenin district, seven military vehicles raided the town and ransacked houses.

Israeli forces clash with Palestinians in West Bank
Picture
Israeli forces have clashed with Palestinians in the occupied West Bank over the killing of a Palestinian man.

The clashes took place on Tuesday in the West Bank village of Bil’in after Israeli forces murdered a Palestinian there.

Israeli authorities say the man was a suspect in last year's explosion on a bus in Tel Aviv.

They say Israeli forces have also detained two other Palestinians in connection with the bus blast.

The bus bombing happened during Israel's military offensive on the besieged Gaza Strip between November 14 and 21, 2012, and left over 160 Palestinians, including many women and children, dead and about 1,200 others injured.

Meanwhile, Israeli regime forces launch incursions into the West Bank on an almost daily basis, regularly attacking Palestinians’ houses in the occupied Palestinian territories and arresting activists and civilians, mostly without any charges.

Last week, Israeli troops shot dead a Palestinian man, Yusef Ahmed Radaida, when he crashed a tractor through the perimeter fence of an Israeli military camp in Ramallah.

According to Palestinian rights groups, over a dozen Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in the first half of 2013. Israeli troops have also seized nearly 1,800 Palestinians, including women and children, during the same period.

Army Kidnaps, Injures Palestinians in Abu Dis, Demolishes Building
Picture
Palestinian sources have reported that several Palestinians have been injured by Israeli army fire, on Monday night after midnight, while others have been kidnapped, after Israeli soldiers invaded Abu Dis town, east of occupied Jerusalem, and demolished an under construction building.

The sources said that the soldiers kidnapped several Palestinian youths, including a number of students of the Al-Quds University, while dozens have been treated for the effects of teargas inhalation, in addition to several residents who were shot by rubber-coated metal bullets.

Hani Halabiyya, spokesperson of the Popular Resistance Committee, told the Maan News Agency that several Israeli military jeeps and armored bulldozers invaded Abu Dis and started demolishing an under construction building that belong to residents Ashraf Abu Sneina and Mo’taz Bader.

The destruction of the property led to clashes with dozens of local youths near the demolished building located close to the campus of the Al-Quds University. The clashes lasted until early morning hours.

Halabiyya said that the demolished structure is a two-story building, one residential and one commercial, and that the owners received a warning last June, in which Israel alleged the construction was not licensed.

He added that the army also demolished a wall surrounding the home of resident Ammar Salama, in the same area.
Maan said that two of the kidnapped Palestinians have been identified as Amro Erekat and Ismael Halabiyya. The kidnapped residents are from Abu Dis and Al-Ezariyya.

It added that, driving a Palestinian car, undercover soldiers of the Israeli army infiltrated the area where clashes took place with the army, and kidnapped the Palestinians after violently beating them.

Soldiers fired several gas bombs, rubber-coated metal bullets, and concussion grenades, targeting the protesters, homes and the University campus causing fires in several trees.

Extremist Settlers Caught On Tap Attacking Palestinian Villagers
Picture
Still From Attack Video

Israeli TV, Channel 2, published a video showing a group of extremist Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian villagers picking olive trees in their own land, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

The settlers targeted Palestinians picking olives in their land in Burin village, south of Nablus. The attack took place on Sunday October 20 2013.

The video shows masked settlers attacking the farmers, throwing stones at them, and violently beating a Palestinian man.

The army was not present in the area, and the Palestinian villagers responded by throwing stones at the Israeli assailants.

Extremist Israeli settlers always escalate their attacks against the Palestinians and their lands during the Olive Harvest season.

Such attacks includes assaulting the villagers, uprooting and cutting trees, and burning Palestinian orchards and farmlands.

In some cases, the settlers picked Palestinian olive trees and stole the produce.

Army Invades Northern And Central Gaza
Picture
A number of armored Israeli military vehicles invaded areas in the northern and central parts of the besieged Gaza Strip, and fired dozens of rounds of live ammunition before uprooting Palestinian farmlands.

Local sources have reported that two armored military bulldozers, and two tanks, advanced dozens of meters into Palestinian farmlands close to the border fence, bulldozed them, and set grass ablaze to clear the area.

Furthermore, three armored military vehicles invaded an area east of Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza, bulldozed and uprooted farmlands also close to the border fence.

The invasion is part of a series of limited invasion carried out by the military, especially after the army uncovered a tunnel connecting Gaza with a settlement across the border area.

Earlier on Tuesday, soldiers shot and dead a Palestinian fighter of the Islamic Jihad, after surrounding him in a cave near the central West Bank city of Ramallah. The fighter was killed after a gun battle with the soldiers.

Israel claimed the fighter is behind an attack in Tel Aviv that led to the injury of 29 Israelis.

The Israeli Internal Security Service said that the fighter, Mohammad Al-‘Aasy, was repeated imprisoned, and was released later on, but remained “a person of interest”.

Local sources in the nearby Kufur Ni’ma and Ni’lin villages, have reported that the army invaded the two villages and completely sealed the area.

Clashes have been reported, while several residents, including a four-month old infant, have been treated for the effects of teargas inhalation after the army fired gas bombs at random, hitting several homes.

Israeli official holds PA responsible for resistance attacks in W. Bank

A senior Israeli official held the Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority (PA) fully responsible for the recent escalation of the West bank resistance operations. The Hebrew radio quoted deputy speaker of the Knesset Ofir Akunis as saying that Israel holds the Palestinian Authority and its president Mahmoud Abbas responsible for the recent security deterioration and terrorist attacks that took place lately.

Akunis also claimed that the Palestinians incite against Israel and Abbas's latest remarks about a Palestinian state without Jews encourage violence and lead to growing terrorist attacks against Israelis.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) were put on high alert in the West Bank in the wake of some recent attacks against Jewish settlers and soldiers, described by the Palestinians as resistance operations and the Israelis as terrorist attacks.

For his part, Avigdor Lieberman, head of the foreign affairs and defense committee at the Knesset, called on the PA to make radical changes in its school books in order to create what he described as the generation of peace.

Lieberman told the Hebrew radio on Sunday that Israel has to demand the PA to restructure its educational system, and complained that the Palestinian school books do not contain any map of the state of Israel or mention anything about the Nazi holocaust.

He stressed that it would be impossible to initiate genuine negotiations on a permanent settlement agreement before the Palestinians raise their children on peace.
