Ten new cases of coronavirus were confirmed this evening in the West Bank, raising today’s total so far to 44 and overall total in the Palestinian territories to 789, according to Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said that nine of the cases were in the new Palestinian coronavirus epicenter, Hebron district, and the tenth in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
According to the latest coronavirus data, out of the 789 cases, 527 are in the West Bank, 72 in the Gaza Strip and 190 in East Jerusalem.
Recoveries has reached 570 total, including 370 in the West Bank, 42 in the Gaza Strip and 155 in East Jerusalem, leaving a total of 214 active cases.
Five patients have died - two in the West Bank, two in Jerusalem and one in the Gaza Strip.

The number of coronavirus cases in Palestine has reached 673 with the recording of six new cases in the last 24 hours, today said Palestinian Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said that two cases were recorded in the town of al-Samou in the south of the West Bank of a 3 and 5-year-old children of a woman who tested positive for the disease the day before. The other four cases were in occupied East Jerusalem.
Alkaila said 570 coronavirus patients have recovered, which leaves the number of active cases in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip at 98.

Minister of Health, Mai Alkaila, confirmed today two new cases of COVID-19 in the southern West Bank district of Hebron.

Minister of Health Mai Alkaila confirmed today two more cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in the West Bank, which brings up the total cases reported since the outbreak of the pandemic in Palestine in early March to 667.
She said the two cases were for a 31-year-old Palestinian man from the village of al-Krum, in Hebron Governorate, and a 30-year-old woman from the nearby town of Samu’.
Alkaila said while the latter contracted the disease from her relative who had visited her from neighboring Israel, the source of infection for the former is still unknown, adding that the ministry was making all possible efforts to track the source to identify potential other cases.

Palestine Wednesday confirmed a new coronavirus case and six other recovery cases, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the occupied territories to 662.
Health Minister Mai al-Kaileh announced in a press conference that the latest case was that of a 54-year-old Palestinian woman from Jericho.
Al-Kaileh explained that the woman contracted the virus after coming in touch with her relative, who came from Beir al-Sabe, also known as Beer Sheva, in southern Israel, to visit her.
Meanwhile, she announced that six coronavirus patients have recovered, and identified five of them as residents of the Hebron-district town of Beit Ula and the other as a resident of the Jerusalem-district town of Kafr Aqab.
The latest recovery cases increases the total recoveries to 565, accounting for 85.3 percent recovery rate.
“Out of the total confirmed cases, 320 cases are in Jerusalem district, 272 others are in northern districts (rest of the West Bank) and 70 others are in the southern districts (Gaza Strip),” she said.
She pointed out that there were 92 active cases in total, including 23 active cases in Jerusalem, 19 others in Hebron district, four others in Jenin district, two others in Jericho, and 28 others in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Over the last 24 hours, she added, 270 Palestinians were admitted into home quarantine, raising the total number of suspected cases currently in quarantine to 2,782.

Four new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Palestine today, raising the total to 640, Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said in a statement.
The four cases include three children aged 2, 5 and 6 years, of a woman from the northern West Bank village of Barta’a who yesterday tested positive for the disease.
The fourth case is of 63-year-old woman in the Gaza Strip.
