Palestine today recorded 514 confirmed coronavirus cases and two fatalities.
Health Minister Mai al-Kaileh announced that 514 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus and two others died of it in the last 24 hours.
Out of the 514 new cases, 209 cases were confirmed in Hebron district, 10 others in Nablus district, seven others in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, 12 others in Bethlehem district, six others in Qaqilia district, another in Jenin district, 36 others in Ramallah and al-Bireh district, nine others in Tulkarem district and 224 others in Jerusalem district.
Al-Kaileh identified the two fatalities as a 93-year-old resident of Yatta town, south of Hebron, and a 70-year-old resident of al-Eizariya town, east of Jerusalem.
Besides, al-Kaileh announced that 1,126 COVID-19 patients recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours.
Out of the new 1,126 recovery cases, 823 cases were recorded in Jerusalem city, 193 others in Hebron district, three others in Qalqilia district, 10 others in Tubas district, four others in Tulkarem district, 54 others in Nablus district, six others in Jenin district and 33 others in Jericho and the Jordan Valley.
Al-Kaileh pointed out that recovery cases now account for 53.2 percent of total confirmed cases, total active cases decreased to 46.3 percent of the total confirmed cases and the death toll stood at 0.5 percent of the total confirmed cases.
She noted that 11 COVID-19 patients remain in the intensive care units, including a case connected to the respirator.
According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 17,948.
Out of the 17,948 cases, 13,644 are recorded in the West Bank, 78 in the Gaza Strip and 4,226 in East Jerusalem.
Recoveries have totaled 9,543, including 2,333 in Jerusalem, and the death toll reached 97, leaving a total of 8,308 active cases.

Israeli military dawn Friday shot a Palestinian woman and targeted an ambulance in a predawn raid in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, said local sources.
The sources said that Israeli forces barged their way into the Jenin city neighborhood of al-Jaberiyyat, where they interrogated and threatened to re-arrest a former prisoner after breaking into his house.
The raid sparked confrontations during which Israeli troops opened fire towards local teens who attempted to block their passage.
Director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Mahmoud al-Sa‘di confirmed that a 27-year-old woman was hit in the chest with a bullet fired by Israeli forces while in her house during the raid.
He added that the forces directly opened fire on an ambulance trying to reach and evacuate the casualty from her house, with two bullets penetrating the ambulance.

With the death of two people from coronavirus in the West Bank on Thursday evening, the death toll in Palestine has reached 95, said the Ministry of Health.
MoH said a 96-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man died from the virus in the town of Halhul, north of Hebron, and the nearby town of Sa'ir respectively.
Earlier today, the ministry confirmed 453 new cases of coronavirus in the West Bank. Another 289 recoveries were also reported.

A woman, identified as 57-years-old from Nablus in the north of the West Bank, has died today of coronavirus, according to the Ministry of Health.
It said that with her death, total corona-related fatalities in Palestine have reached 93, among them 89 in the West Bank, three in East Jerusalem, and one in the Gaza Strip, since the outbreak of the disease in March.
As corona recoveries keep rising, 453 new cases were recorded in Palestine in the last 24 hours
While 289 corona patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, 453 new cases were recorded in Palestine and one death, according to Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said in the daily briefing on the novel coronavirus pandemic that 183 of the new cases were in the Hebron district, the current epicenter of the disease, and 152 in the Jerusalem district of whom 120 were in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
As for the recoveries, 242 were in the Hebron district and 40 in the Ramallah area, for a total of 48.3 percent of the overall cases, while active cases stood at 51.2 percent and deaths at 0.5 percent.
Of the active cases, 12 are in intensive care while two patients are on respirators, said the Minister.

Palestine Wednesday afternoon recorded 353 new coronavirus cases and four fatalities in the last 24 hours.Health Minister Mai al-Kaileh announced that 353 Palestinians contracted the virus and four others died of it in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Out of the 353 new confirmed cases, 158 were recorded in Hebron district, 20 others in Nablus district, 21 others in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, four others in Bethlehem district, five others in Qalqilia district, 14 others in Jenin district, 25 others in Ramallah and al-Bireh district, two others in Tulkarem district and 104 others in Jerusalem district.
Meanwhile, al-Kaileh confirmed four Palestinians died due to the highly contagious virus in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 91.
Two of the four fatalities, identified as a 70-year-old man from Jericho and a 61-year-old man from Yatta town, south of Hebron, died on Wednesday morning.
The other two fatalities, identified as a 57-year-old man from Beit Awwa town, west of Hebron, and a 68-year-old man from Beit Ula town, northwest of Hebron, died on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, al-Kaileh pointed out that 199 recovery cases were recorded in the occupied territories in the last 24 hours.
Out of the 199 recovery cases, 32 cases were recorded in Nablus district.
She added that 13 COVID-19 patients remain in the intensive care units, including three who are connected to respirators.
According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 16,981.
Out of the 16,981 cases, 12,987 are recorded in the West Bank, 78 in the Gaza Strip and 3,916 in East Jerusalem.

The first fatality was identified as a 57-year-old man from Beit Awwa town, west of Hebron. He was suffering from kidney failure and other chronic diseases.
The other fatality was identified as a 68-year-old man from Beit Ula town, northwest of Hebron.
According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 16,628.
Out of the 16,628 cases, 12,692 are recorded in the West Bank, 78 in the Gaza Strip and 3,858 in East Jerusalem.
Recoveries have totaled 7,929, including 1,510 in Jerusalem, leaving a total of 8,610 active cases.
In Hebron district, the current epicenter of the pandemic, confirmed cases totaled 8,295, accounting for almost 50 percent of total cases in the occupied territories.
Recovery cases in the district reached 4,273, leaving a total of 3,952 active cases, accounting for almost 46 percent of total active cases in the occupied territories.
Deaths in Hebron reached 70, accounting for almost 79 percent of the death toll in the occupied territories.

A total of 738 corona patients recovered in Palestine in the last 24 hours bringing the rate to 48 percent of the total, while 229 new cases were recorded, said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She explained that 236 of the recoveries were in occupied East Jerusalem where 375 new cases were recorded over the past four days that marked Eid Al-Adha holiday.
According to the latest coronavirus figures in Palestine, there are 16,628 cases since March and with 7929 recoveries and 87 deaths, active cases stood at 8612.
Alkaila said 11 patients are still in intensive care, two of them are on ventilators.

MoH said in its daily statement on the coronavirus pandemic that 131 of the new cases were in Hebron governorate, 27 in Jerusalem, 14 in Nablus, 14 in Jericho, 10 in Jenin, 42 in Ramallah, two in Qalqilia, and one each in the governorates of Tubas, Tulkarm, and Salfit.
The ministry said 44.9 percent of the total coronavirus patients in Palestine have recovered so far, while the percentage of active cases reached 54.6 percent. Meanwhile, deaths amounted for only 0.5 percent of the overall cases.
With regard to the geographic distribution of the recoveries, MoH said 225 recoveries were reported in Hebron, 220 in Ramallah, 76 in Qalqilia, and six in Jenin.

The Ministry of Health confirmed today 255 new cases of COVID-19 and 66 recoveries and one fatality due to the virus in Palestine during the past 24 hours.
In its daily statement, the ministry said 103 of the new cases were registered in occupied Jerusalem, 28 in Hebron, 49 in Ramallah, two in Tulkarm, one in Jenin, 14 in Nablus, 20 in Jericho, five in Qalqilia, and three in Bethlehem.
The ministry added that a 58-year-old woman, from the refugee camp of Qalandiya, died of the virus.
Meanwhile, 33 recoveries were registered in Hebron governorate, 23 in Bethlehem, four in Jenin, and six in Tulkarm.
The ministry added that seven coronavirus patients are now placed under intensified care, of whom two are on respirators.
