Coronavirus death toll reaches 86: Health Ministry

A 50-year-old woman was today pronounced dead of coronavirus in the southern West Bank governorate of Hebron, said the Ministry of Health.

It said with the woman's death, a total of 86 people have died of coronavirus so far in Palestine.


Palestine registers 323 new coronavirus cases, 247 recoveries

The Ministry of Health confirmed today 323 new cases of COVID-19 and 247 recoveries in Palestine during the past 24 hours.

In its daily statement, the ministry said 18 of the new cases were registered in occupied Jerusalem, 219 in Hebron, 28 in Ramallah, three in Tulkarm, four in Jenin, five in Nablus, 41 in Jericho, two in Qalqilia, one in Bethlehem, and two in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, 238 recoveries were registered in Hebron governorate, seven in Jenin, and two in Tulkarm.

The ministry added that 14 coronavirus patients are now placed under intensified care, of whom four are on respirators.

Palestine records 394 coronavirus cases, one fatality

Palestine Friday afternoon recorded 394 new novel coronavirus cases and one fatality in the last 24 hours.

The Health Ministry announced in a press statement that 394 Palestinians tested positive for COVID-19 in the various Palestinian districts in the last 24 hours.

Among the 394 new cases, 161 cases were confirmed in Jerusalem district, 203 others in Hebron district, 15 others in Ramallah and al-Bireh district, two others in Qalqiliya district, five others in Bethlehem district, three others in Jenin district and five others in Nablus district.

Besides, one Palestinian died due to the highly contagious virus and 62 others recovered from it in the last 24 hours.

The latest fatality was identified as a 60-year-old woman from al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem city.

As for the latest recovery cases, 11 cases were recorded in Nablus district, 47 others in Hebron district, two others in Tulkarem district and two others in Salfit district.

The ministry pointed out that 14 patients infected with the virus were still receiving treatment in the intensive care units, including five connected to ventilators.

According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 13,457.
Recoveries have totaled 6,351 and the death toll reached 85, leaving a total of 8,796 active cases.

Coronavirus claims Palestinian victim number 84

The coronavirus pandemic today claimed Palestinian victim number 84 with the death of a 41-year-old woman from the southern West Bank city of Hebron, said the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Out of the 84 corona victims in Palestine since March, 80 were from the West Bank, three from East Jerusalem and one from the Gaza Strip.

A 41-year-old woman from the southern West Bank city of Hebron was the latest victim of coronavirus pandemic, today said the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

It said the latest death brings the overall number of people who died of coronavirus in Palestine since March to 83, including 79 from the West Bank, three from East Jerusalem and one from the Gaza Strip.

Palestine records 520 coronavirus cases, one fatality

Palestine Wednesday afternoon recorded 520 new confirmed coronavirus cases and one fatality in the last 24 hours.

The Health Ministry announced that 520 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Among the 520 new cases, 211 were recorded in Jerusalem district, 250 others in Hebron district, 16 others in Ramallah and al-Bireh district, three others in Tulkarem district, 12 others in Bethlehem district, another in Salfit district, nine others in Jenin district, seven others in Nablus district, four others in Jericho district and seven others in Qalqiliya district.

The ministry added that 74 coronavirus patients recovered and another died in the last 24 hours, raising the total recovery cases and death toll in the occupied territories since the pandemic outbreak to 6,107 and 82.

Among the new 74 recovery cases, 13 recovery cases were recorded in Salfit district, 16 others in Ramallah and al-Bireh district, 30 others in Bethlehem district and 15 others in Jenin district.

According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 14,458 since the pandemic outbreak.

Out of the 14,458 cases, 11,209 are in the West Bank, 75 in the Gaza Strip and 3,174 in East Jerusalem.

Recoveries have totaled 6,107, including 4,833 in the West Bank and Gaza and 1,274 in East Jerusalem, leaving a total of 8,269 active cases.

Palestinian man dies of coronavirus in West Bank; total 82

A Palestinian man said to be 56 years of age has died tonight of coronavirus, raising the total dead in Palestine so far to 82, according to the Ministry of Health.

It said the man was from al-Majd village, southwest of the southern West Bank city of Hebron where the majority of the infected cases recently were from.

Out of the 82 dead, 78 were from the West Bank, three from East Jerusalem, and one from the Gaza Strip.

Palestine Monday late night announced a new novel coronavirus fatality, raising the death toll since the pandemic outbreak in the occupied territories to 81.

The Health Ministry announced that a 69-year-old man from the refugee camp of al-Jalazone, north of Ramallah city, died due to the highly contagious virus.

It added that the victim was at the intensive care unit in the Hugo Chaves Hospital in Turmus Ayya.

According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 13,457 since the pandemic outbreak.

Out of the 13,457 cases, 10,546 are in the West Bank, 75 in the Gaza Strip and 2,836 in East Jerusalem.

Recoveries have totaled 4,556, including 3,282 in the West Bank and Gaza and 1,274 in East Jerusalem, leaving a total of 8,820 active cases.

Palestine records 481 confirmed coronavirus cases, one fatality

Palestine today recorded 481 new coronavirus cases and one fatality in the last 24 hours.The Health Ministry announced in a press statement that 481 Palestinians tested positive for the novel coronavirus and another died of it, raising the total number of confirmed cases and fatalities in the occupied territories since the pandemic outbreak to 13,457 cases and 81 fatalities.

The latest fatality was that of a 69-year-old man from the refugee camp of al-Jalazone, north of Ramallah city.

Among the 481 new cases, 222 cases were recorded in Jerusalem district, 180 others in Hebron district, 13 others in Ramallah and al-Bireh district, four others in Tulkarem district, 15 others in Bethlehem district, 15 others in Jenin district, seven others in Nablus district, 16 others in Jericho district, six others in Qalqiliya district and three others in Tubas district.

Besides, the ministry announced that 537 COVID-19 patients recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, raising the total recoveries to 6,033.

Among the 537 recoveries, 355 recovery cases were recorded in Hebron district, 17 others in Jerusalem district, 53 others in Ramallah and al-Bireh district, 100 others in Jerusalem suburbs, seven others in Qalqiliya district and five others in Tulkarem district.


According to the latest coronavirus data, the ministry pointed out, total active cases dropped to 7,824.

In terms of percentages, recovery increased to 43.3 percent, while total active cases dropped to 56.1 percent. The death toll account for 0.6 percent.

While only three deaths were recorded in East Jerusalem and one in Gaza, the remaining 76 were in the West Bank and mainly in the Hebron district in the south of the West Bank.


The Ministry said that 333 new cases were confirmed in various parts of the occupied Palestinian territories, including 180 in East Jerusalem, the new epicenter of the disease, while the Hebron district, the former epicenter, had only 25 cases, a sharp decline from the previous figures in the hundreds since early this month.

Two Palestinians have died and 333 new cases have been confirmed in Palestine as a result of contracting the coronavirus disease in the last 24 hours, in addition to 769 patients have recovered, today said the Ministry of Health.

It said in the daily briefing on the pandemic that with the two recent deaths, the total in Palestine has reached 80 since the outbreak of the disease in March.

It said that the rate of recovery has reached 40.8% after 769 patients have recovered, including 270 in the Hebron district and 300 in East Jerusalem, for a grand total of 5496 recoveries since March, leaving the active cases at 7881 in Palestine.


Meanwhile, 13 patients are still in intensive care in the West Bank, two of them are on respirators.

West Bank woman dies of coronavirus; victim number 79 in Palestine

A 68-year-old woman from the town of Sair, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, has died last night of coronavirus, making her corona victim number 79 in Palestine, according to the Ministry of Health.

It said the woman was suffering from asthma.

Four corona-related deaths and 330 new cases were confirmed yesterday in addition to 470 recoveries.
