Israeli bulldozers demolished on Monday a house under construction belonging to a Palestinian family in Anata, northeast of Jerusalem’s Old City.
The house, owned by Saleh Fheidat, was demolished under the pretext that it was built without an Israeli-issued permit.
A large unit of Israeli forces stormed the area and cordoned off the building, home to five family members, before proceeding to demolish it.
The house owner said the building covers an area of 50 square meters, adding that a couple of months earlier the occupation forces knocked down another home of his own.

Israeli occupation bulldozers, on Monday, demolished a Palestinian owned home in Anata village, northeast of Jerusalem, and confiscated hundreds of dunams of land in Budrus village, to the west of Ramallah.
Soldiers demolished a home owned by Saleh Fheidat, in Anata village, under the pretext of building without a permit.
According to Fheidat , Israeli occupation forces and the so-called “Civil Administration” stormed the area and proceeded to demolish and dismantle its house, which houses seven people without prior warning, and without prior notice of demolition, and threw its contents in the open.
He said that occupation authorities had demolished a house of 80 meters for the family, more than a month ago, which forced him to live in a mobile home located about 40 meters from the demolished house before returning to demolish the second house.
In the context of the restrictions on Palestinians, Israeli forces seized hundreds of dunams of land from the village of Budrus, in Ramallah, where the Palestinian association informed that hundreds of dunams of Palestinian land were confiscated for “security purposes”.
PNN further reports that authorities gave residents of the village a week to object to the decision, in the courts of the occupation, after informing them of their plans for seizure.
Israeli occupation authorities have taken hundreds of dunams from the village’s land to build the Apartheid Wall. 80% of the village’s land has been confiscated since the Nakba.

A group of settlers have established an illegal outpost inside an abandoned military base in the Jordan Valley, the Haaretz daily reported on Sunday.
Earlier this month, the Israeli government informed the High Court of Justice that 12 families had moved into Camp Gadi, adjacent to the Masua illegal settlement, and had begun renovating the buildings there.
The update from the government came in response to a 2017 petition filed by three left-wing activists warning the court that a group of settlers intended to establish an outpost at Camp Gadi.
The activists claimed to have come across social media posts referring to plans to establish a new illegal settlement in the Jordan Valley and called on the government to send occupation forces to prevent it.
After the court agreed to hear the initial petition, the Jordan Valley Regional Council — where the abandoned base is located — informed the court in response that it had no intention of establishing an outpost at Camp Gadi.
The Jordan Valley Regional Council has said that it is not involved in the actions of the settlers. However, it has not acted to have them removed.

France on Tuesday asked Israel to cancel its plan to demolish Khan al-Ahmar village, which is located east of Occupied Jerusalem.
The French Foreign Ministry issued a statement calling on the Israeli authorities to cancel their project to demolish Khan al-Ahmar village, stressing that the Bedouin community is "necessary for the two-state solution and the future Palestinian state".
The Ministry expressed France's concern over the forcible transfer of the Palestinian families of Khan al-Ahmar.
The United Nations as well as many European governments have pressured Israel to stop the demolition of Khan al-Ahmar since it would separate the West Bank's northern part from the south, thus making it more difficult to establish an independent Palestinian state in the future.
Khan al-Ahmar is inhabited by about 200 Palestinians, 53% of whom are children, and 95% are refugees registered with the UNRWA.
Israel's Supreme Court in May officially ruled for demolishing the Bedouin village and its school which is attended by 170 students living in Khan al-Ahmar and neighboring communities.

The Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights issued a statement strongly condemning the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian fishermen, and the illegal confiscation of their boats, and called for the release of four fishermen, who were taken prisoner by the navy, on Tuesday, in two separate attacks.
Al-Mezan said its field investigations have revealed that, at 6:30 on Tuesday morning, Israeli navy ships opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats, nearly two nautical in Gaza territorial waters in the al-Waha sea in Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the coastal region, before surrounding a small boat with two fishermen onboard, and abducted them.
The two fishermen have been identified as Awad Nafeth Sultan, 21, from Beit Lahia, and Ahmad Emad Siyam, 20, from the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza city. They were taken to an unknown destination, and their boat was confiscated.
Al-Mezan added that, approximately at one in the afternoon of the same day, the navy fired many live rounds at Palestinian fishing boats, less than four nautical miles from the shore, in Sheikh Ejleen Beach, southwest of Gaza city, and surrounded them, before abducting two fishermen, and confiscated their boat.
The two fishermen have been identified as Mahmoud Mohammad Miqdad, 35, and Hasan Soheil Miqdad, 26, from the Shati’ refugee camp.
Field research and documentation by the al-Mezan Center revealed that the Israeli navy carried 270 violations against Palestinian fishermen and their boats, since the beginning of this year, and that the navy fired live rounds at the boats 267 times, killing one fisherman, in addition to wounding sixteen others, and abducting 59, in addition to confiscating 18 boats.
It is worth mentioning that the slain fisherman, identified as Ismael Saleh Abu Ryala, 18, was killed when the Israeli navy opened fire on his fishing boat while he was fishing near the shore of Gaza.
It added that Israel continues to ban the entry of equipment and tools needed for fishing, as part of its ongoing and deadly siege on Gaza.
Al-Mezan called for the release of all abducted fishermen, and their boats, and demanded the international community to act on lifting the Israeli siege on Gaza, and ending the seriously escalating violations of international law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and all related United Nations and human rights treaties.
It said that Israel continues to abduct, humiliate and harm the fishermen, in addition to the destruction of their boats and equipment, as part of its illegal siege on Gaza, and its deliberate violation against the civilian population.
Meanwhile, Israeli news outlets reported that Israel expanded the allowed fishing zone from the current three nautical miles, however, Israeli naval forces opened fire at several fishing boats, as they were working within the permitted fishing zone, forcing them to sail back to shore.
Following the latest Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip in 2014, a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Palestinian armed groups was brokered by the Egyptian government, which allowed fishermen to sail up to 6 nautical miles, but Israel continued to violate the agreement.
Under the Oslo Accord, signed between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization in 1994, Israel is supposed to allow the Palestinian to fish and sail within 20 nautical miles.

The Commission of Scholars and Preachers in Palestine condemned, in the strongest terms, all attempts to hold sway over Palestinian property in occupied Jerusalem, dubbing it an unspeakable crime.
In a Monday statement, the commission said serious measures and precautions should be taken to rein in any attempt to misappropriate estate or holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.
According to the commission, Jerusalem property should neither be sold nor have its ownership rights transferred to another party.
It called on Palestinian owners in occupied Jerusalem to grant their assets “endowment” status so as to make sure no other party can hold sway over them in the future.

The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) in Jerusalem has persisted in its construction activities on an annexed swathe of land belonging to al-Yousefiya cemetery near the walls of the Old City as part of its plan to Judaize the area and establish Jewish and biblical paths and projects.
Member of the Higher Islamic Commission in Jerusalem Mustafa Abu Zahra said that the IOA started on Sunday to pave the passageway between al-Laqlaq tower, east of the walls of the Old City, and Bab al-Asbat plaza.
Abu Zahra affirmed that the annexed land is part of al-Yousefiya cemetery, which is an Islamic mortmain site dating from the Mamluk and Ayyubid periods.
He told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that the IOA had demolished more than 40 graves a few years ago in the northern area of the cemetery and covered them with a large amount of concrete.
