Israeli Colonialists Attack Shepherds, Steel A Sheep
Picture
A number of illegal extremist Israeli colonialists attacked, Wednesday, Palestinian shepherds in the Northern Plains of the occupied West Bank, and stole a sheep.

Aref Daraghma, a human rights activist, said the colonists chased several Palestinian shepherds, forcing them out of grazing lands, near the illegal Shidmot colony.

Daraghma added that the assailants attacked the shepherds, and stole a sheep owned by a local shepherd, identified as Barakat Ali Zohdi.

In related news, Israeli soldiers invaded Khirbat Yizra village, east of Tubas in northeastern West Bank, and used drone to photograph Palestinian homes and structures.

ICC prosecutor issues warning on Bedouin village demolition
Picture
Following Supreme Court's decision to reject final appeal against razing of Khan al-Ahmar, International Criminal Court warns forcefully evacuating residents and destroying encampment could constitute a war crime.

The International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor has issued a warning that if Israel goes ahead and destroys a Palestinian Bedouin village on the West Bank that could constitute a war crime.

The Supreme Court recently rejected a final appeal against plans to demolish the village, Khan al-Ahmar.

In a statement Wednesday, ICC Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda says "evacuation by force now appears imminent."

Bensouda adds that the "extensive destruction of property without military necessity and population transfers in an occupied territory constitute war crimes" under the Rome Statute treaty that established the ICC.

Israel says Khan al-Ahmar was built illegally and has offered to resettle its residents a few miles (kilometers) away. Palestinians and other critics say the demolition aims to displace Palestinians in favor of Israeli settlement expansion.

Last week, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom issued a rare joint statement warning Israel against its planned demolition of a Bedouin encampment, saying its strategic location is important to maintain "contiguity of a future Palestinian state."

"The consequences a demolition and displacement would have on the residents ... as well as on the prospects of the two-state solution would be very serious," their statement said.

Palestinian family goes homeless as Israeli forces demolish tent
Picture
The Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday demolished a Palestinian tent in Musafer Yatta, in the southern West Bank.

A PIC news correspondent said Israeli border cops raided Sosiya village, in Yatta, before they knocked down a tent owned by the Palestinian instructor Khader Nawaj’a and seized his furniture.

Speaking with PIC, Nawaj’a said: “I set up the tent to take shelter in with my family in winter after the occupation forces demolished our homes and structures. Now we have been left without a roof over our head after the occupation forces demolished our tent and stole our blankets, foodstuff, gas cylinder, and cattle feed”, he stated.

“The Israeli occupation authorities do not allow us to construct homes to take cover in”, he added. “They just seek to force us out of our lands.”

Palestinian arrested, others injured in Khan al-Ahmar protests

The Israeli police on Wednesday arrested a Palestinian young woman during a demonstration against the demolition of Khan al-Ahmar village, east of Occupied Jerusalem.

Activist Marouf al-Rifaei said that the Israeli police forces assaulted a group of Palestinian youths and activists protesting peacefully near the threatened village, and attacked them with pepper gas and electric prods. video

Since the early morning hours, the Israeli police have tightened restrictions around Khan al-Ahmar area to prevent the Palestinians from taking part in the open-ended sit-in held in the Bedouin village.

Israeli bulldozers raze Palestinian homes in J’lem and al-Khalil
Picture
Israeli bulldozers on Wednesday morning demolished the house of a Palestinian family in Jabel Mukaber neighborhood, south of the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem, and displaced the residents.

The house belonged to the family of Khalil Za’atera who was violently evacuated by Israeli police forces.

The homeowner’s wife said that the Israeli police forcibly removed her and her eight-member family from the house, adding that the family became homeless.

In al-Khalil, the Israeli occupation army demolished a house under construction in al-Miya in Yatta.

Local sources told a reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli bulldozers razed the house to the ground.

Army Demolishes A Home In Jerusalem And Attacks The Family

Dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded, on Wednesday morning, Jabal a-Mokabber neighborhood, southeast of occupied East Jerusalem, and attacked a Palestinian family, causing several injuries, before demolishing their home.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan (Silwanic), in Jerusalem, said the soldiers demolished the 100 square/meter home of Khalil Za’atra, reportedly for being built without a permit.

Za’atra lived in his home along with eight members of his family; most of them are children, who were all rendered homeless.

The soldiers attacked Za’atra and his family, causing various cuts and bruises, while forcing them out of their home before demolishing it.

The home was built four months ago, and the family never received a prior warning until the army stormed their homes, the Maan News Agency has reported.

On Tuesday evening, the soldiers abducted a young man, identified as Adham Sabta, from the al-‘Isawiya town, in Jerusalem, and assaulted him, causing various cuts and bruises.

Israeli bulldozers level land anew around Khan al-Ahmar
Picture
On Tuesday morning, Israeli bulldozers embarked once again on leveling raised areas of land around the Bedouin community of Khan al-Ahmar in Occupied Jerusalem as a prelude to forcibly evacuating the local residents and protesters any moment.

Israeli bulldozers escorted by soldiers arrived early in the morning in the village and resumed leveling land and making routes to facilitate entry of troops when Israeli officials give the go-ahead for the destruction of the village, according to protesting activists.

Activists have been staging a sit-in for days at the Palestinian village to ward off Israeli attempts to destroy it and displace its residents.

Israeli bulldozers did some leveling work in the village on Monday, provoking activists and residents to clash with soldiers.

Settlers Flood Khan al-Ahmar with Sewage for 2nd Time
Picture
Israeli settlers stormed the Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem, on Monday, and flooded the area with wastewater for a second time.

Locals said that Israeli settlers from the nearby illegal Israeli settlement of Kfar Adummim, stormed the village and flooded Khan al-Ahmar with wastewater, causing serious environmental and health hazard for residents.

Ma’an sources added that the wastewater from the Kfar Adummim settlement flooded large areas of the village, as Israeli settlers attempted to assist the Israeli government in forcing the residents to leave the area.

This is not the first time Israeli settlers flooded the village with wastewater, causing serious damage to land and property.

Khan al-Ahmar is in danger of being demolished by Israeli forces at any moment, which would displace 181 people, half of whom are children.

Critics and human rights organizations argue that the demolition is part of an Israeli plan to expand the nearby illegal Israeli settlement of Kfar Adummim, and to create a region of contiguous Israeli control from Jerusalem almost to the Dead Sea, which would make a contiguous Palestinian state impossible.

Israel has been constantly trying to uproot Bedouin communities from the area to east of Jerusalem, to allow settlement expansion in the area, which would later turn the entire eastern part of the West Bank into a settlement zone.

Although international humanitarian law prohibits the demolition of the village and illegal confiscation of private property, Israeli forces continue their planned expansion by forcing evictions and violating basic human rights of the people.

Israel is attempting to displace the residents of Khan al-Ahmar from the area, in order to complete their illegal settlement project labeled as E1.

The Israeli government set up the contentious “E1 corridor” to link annexed occupied East Jerusalem with the enormous illegal Israeli settlement of Maale Adumim, by confiscating 12,000 dunams (2,965 acres) of Palestinian-owned lands from occupied East Jerusalem to the Dead Sea.

Israeli authorities plan to build thousands of homes for Jewish-only settlements in E1, which would effectively divide the West Bank and make the creation of a contiguous Palestinian state — as envisaged by the two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict — almost impossible.

Soldiers Confiscate Equipment Near Hebron
Picture
Israeli soldiers invaded, Monday, Masafer Yatta town, near the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and confiscated equipment used for digging water wells, in addition to a crane and electricity generator.

Media sources in Hebron said the soldiers invaded Susiya village, in Masafer Yatta, and confiscated the equipment, before taking them to an unknown destination.

The confiscated equipment is owned by a local resident, identified as Husam Na’im Hamamda, who was working on a project on a land owned by Farid Ahmad Jabour.

The attack took place after many soldiers surrounded the area, which is subject to frequent violations, and invaded it.

Israeli Soldiers Invade Al-Khan Al-Ahmar, Abduct Four And Injure Seven
Dozens of Israeli soldiers, accompanied by a bulldozer, invaded the al-Khan al-Ahmar Bedouin community, east of occupied Jerusalem, and started bulldozing adjacent lands, before attacking nonviolent solidarity activists, abducted four and injured seven other. video

Eyewitnesses said seven nonviolent activist suffered various lacerations after being assaulted by the Israeli soldiers and police officers.

They added that the soldiers abducted Riyad Salahat, the head of the Public Relations Department of the Palestinian National Security, in addition to two Israeli peace activists, identified as Koby and Jonathan, in addition to Robin, a peace activist from Holland.

The Palestinians, along with dozens of Israeli and international peace activists, have been holding constant nonviolent protests, and solidarity
activities with the Bedouin Palestinian villages of the al-Khan al-Ahmar, facing demolition and displacement.

Despite constant Israeli military assaults and violations against them, the peace activists continue to maintain a permanent presence in the community to prevent its demolition.

On September 5th, the Israeli supreme court denied an appeal against the demolition of the Palestinian community, and ordered its removal and displacement.

The first ruling by the court was made in May of this year, when it granted the military a green light for demolishing it.

There are approximately 200 Palestinians living in al-Khan al-Ahmar, %53 of them are children, and %95 of the population are refugees officially registered by the UNRWA. The community has one school providing education to 170 children.

It is worth mentioning that al-Khan al-Ahmar is surrounded by several illegal Israeli colonies, while Israel wants to remove it as part of its E1 colonialist project, which aims at surrounding occupied Jerusalem with a chain of Jewish-only colonies, and blocking the geographical contiguity of the occupied West Bank, and completely isolating the Palestinians from Jerusalem.
Israel military to demolish anti-occupation shooter’s family home
Picture
The Israeli army notified on Monday the family of the wanted Palestinian youth Ashraf Na’aluwa of their decision to demolish their home in Shweika area, north of Tulkarem.

The Israeli army said in a statement that it handed over a demolition notification to Na’aluwa family on account of their son’s involvement in an anti-occupation shooting attack in Brakan settlement, which left two Israeli settlers dead and another injured.

The army gave the family a three-day time-span to appeal the demolition.

Na’aluwa is accused by the Israeli occupation authorities of carrying out an anti-occupation shooting attack last week in Brakan industrial zone, which makes part of the illegal settlement of Ariel, built on Palestinian lands north of Salfit.

Army Destroys Waterline in Kufr Qaddoum
Picture
Israeli forces, on Saturday, destroyed a water pipeline and sealed several roads in the village of Kafr Qaddoum, near Qalqilia city, in the occupied West Bank, local sources said.

Morad Shtewi, coordinator of the popular resistance in the village, told WAFA that Israeli army accompanied by a bulldozer broke into the village, destroyed a main water pipeline and sealed several roads.

Israeli measures in the village sparked confrontations with local residents, upon which an old woman was reportedly hit by a teargas canister, in her mouth, by the soldiers.

Israeli occupation to knock down Palestinian homes
Picture
The Israeli occupation army notified the demolition of Palestinian homes in Wadi al-Seik area, east of Ramallah province.

Eye-witness Abdul Rahman Ka’abna said members of the Israeli civil administration escorted by soldiers handed over five demolition notices to the locals.

The targeted structures provide shelter to at least 30 Bedouins, who have set up roots in the area several years ago.

Sometime earlier, the Israeli military ordered the demolition of the local school under the guise of unlicensed construction.

Israeli police attack peaceful demonstration in Khan al-Ahmar
Picture
The Israeli police on Friday violently quelled a peaceful demonstration near Jerusalem against Khan al-Ahmar demolition.

The demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and chanted angry slogans condemning the Israeli plan to demolish the Bedouin village and calling for an end to Israel's attempts to steal Palestinian lands in favor of settlement projects.

Local sources said that the Israeli police prevented the demonstrators from advancing toward the main road adjacent to the village and threatened to arrest them.

The Israeli police since the early morning hours have installed several military checkpoints on the roads leading to Khan al-Ahmar, stopped the Palestinian vehicles passing on these roads, and scrutinized the passengers' IDs.

Israeli Police, City Council Employees, Invade Silwan, Photograph Buildings
Picture
Israeli police officers and several employees of the City Council of occupied Jerusalem, invaded on Friday at noon, Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and photographed many homes and stores.

The invasions targeted the neighborhoods of Ein al-Louza, Wad Yasoul and Wadi Hilweh, in Silwan.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan (Silwanic) has reported the officers took pictures and detailed information of many buildings in the three neighborhoods, in addition to inspecting the ID cards of many Palestinians, and writing their information down, before withdrawing.

Silwanic added that the police and City Council employees invade the town weekly, before photographing homes and commercial buildings, in addition to barns and farms, and threaten to demolish them for being “built without permits.”

It is worth mentioning that teams of the Israeli Nature and Parks Authority also repeatedly invade Silwan, and issue warnings and fines against land owners, after demanding them to remove wood or other materials they have there.

Israeli occupation destroys Palestinian olive harvest in Khader
Picture
Israeli bulldozers on Thursday leveled Palestinian cultivated lands in al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, and uprooted dozens of olive trees.

Coordinator for the local anti-settlement committee Ahmad Salah said the Israeli occupation authorities bulldozed cultivated land lots covering an area of five dunums.

The measure was carried out under the pretext that the targeted tracts, belonging by the Palestinian farmer Ibrahim Hamdan, are state “property”.

The occupation authorities also chopped 100 olive seedlings planted in the area.

Israeli occupation demolishes Palestinian structures in Jordan Valley
Picture
The Israeli occupation forces on Thursday morning knocked down Palestinian structures in the northern Jordan Valley.

According to local, sources, Israeli army troops showed up at the demolition scene and destroyed residential structures along with agricultural facilities and others for raising livestock in al-Hadidiya village, in the northern Jordan Valley.

The demolished structures are owned by the Palestinian citizen Omar Besharat, the same sources added.

The demolition process was reportedly carried out by the Israeli occupation forces under the guise of unlicensed construction.

Israeli occupation to grab Palestinian land in al-Zawiya village
Picture
Palestinians in al-Zawiyeh village, in the northern occupied West Bank, were informed on Tuesday about the Israeli army’s decision to seize eight dunums of their land for military purposes.

Zawiyeh mayor, Naim Shqeir, said on Wednesday that the army handed the confiscation decision to the municipality.

The military order targets 8.242 of local Palestinian land west of the village under the military guise.

Two months ago the Israeli occupation army seized between 140 and 177 dunums of village land to establish a new cemetery for Israeli settlers.

Land seized by the Israeli occupation forces usually end up being used for illegal settlement expansion across the occupied Palestinian territories.

Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian land are illegal under international law, particularly article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which establishes that the occupying power shall not deport civilians nor confiscate land from territory it occupies.
