Netanyahu: “No Settlement Will be Evacuated” in His Time
Picture
Speaking at a Likud party meeting on the thriving Israeli relations, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he received an invitation to visit Chad and that he would make the visit.

During the meeting as well, Netanyahu  reassured his Likud faction that the central West Bank Bedouin hamlet of Khan al-Ahmar will be razed “very soon.”

“There are Israeli officials who wanted to gain sympathy by making concessions to the Palestinians, including the evacuation of settlements, but I say, as long as I’m prime minister, no settlement will be evacuated,” Netanyahu was quoted as saying, according to the PNN.

Israel demolishes Palestinian facility in Jericho
Picture
sraeli military bulldozers demolished on Tuesday a Palestinian-owned agricultural facility in Jiftlik village, north of Jericho, for being built without permit.

Local activist Aref Daraghmeh told Quds Press that Israeli bulldozers stormed the village early today escorted by large numbers of Israeli forces before starting the demolition process.

The demolished facility was owned by Jabr 'Adais, he added.

Israel to seize hundreds of dunams in Jordan Valley
Israeli authorities decided to seize hundreds of dunams of Palestinian land, which belongs to the Catholic Church, in an area in the northern Jordan Valley, on Tuesday.

Mutaz Bisharat, a Palestinian official in charge of Jordan Valley's Israeli settlements file at the Palestinian Authority (PA), told Ma’an that Israeli authorities have issued a decision to seize 267 dunams (66 acres) of land belonging to the Catholic Church.

Bisharat mentioned that the land in question is located across of an Israeli military camp.

Bisharat added that the decision to seize the land represents a real threat against a number of Palestinian families that live in the surrounding areas, particularly if Israeli authorities force the families to be evacuated from their lands under the pretext of "security reasons."
Bisharat noted that this strategy seeks to control the land and expand illegal Israeli settlements across the Jordan Valley.

Forming a third of the occupied West Bank and with 88 percent of its land classified as Area C, the Jordan Valley has long been a strategic area of land unlikely to return to Palestinians following Israel's occupation in 1967.

The unpredictability of the training drills leaves rural Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley anxious about when they will be displaced, and whether the next time will be permanent.

Palestinians in the Jordan Valley are one of the most vulnerable groups to displacement, with over 60 percent of the 6,000 Palestinians forcibly displaced since 2008 belonged to herding or Bedouin communities, according to the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
Child among several Palestinians kidnapped by Israeli soldiers
Picture
Scores of Palestinians were arrested by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Tuesday in abduction sweeps rocking the West Bank.

Overnight, an Israeli patrol rolled into Qalqilya’s eastern town of Azzoun and attacked Palestinian anti-occupation youth with randomly-discharged spates of bullet fire, injuring a young man in his leg.

A number of Palestinian young men were kidnapped by the IOF in the assault.

At the same time, Israeli soldiers stormed Ramallah’s western village of al-Janiya and wreaked havoc on civilian homes. A Palestinian youth was summoned to questioning at the Ofer detention center, southwest of Ramallah.

Palestinian ex-prisoner Muayad Ghazi was also kidnapped by the occupation forces from his family home in Jama’in town, in Nablus.

The IOF further broke into Jenin and cordoned off the Jenin-Haifa thoroughfare with a military checkpoint. A young man was kidnapped from the city.

Palestinian civilians reportedly choked on teargas fired by the occupation forces in clashes that burst out in Jenin’s eastern corners.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian child, identified as Nour al-Hindi, was kidnapped by the IOF from al-Khalil’s northern town of Beit Ummar.

An iron gate was step up by the Israeli military at the main entrance to Kelkes village, south of al-Khalil.

In the meantime, the occupation army threatened to demolish the family home of 17-year-old Palestinian boy Khalil Jabareen, from Yatta town, over allegations of his involvement in an anti-occupation stabbing attack carried out on September 16, 2018 near Gush Etzion settlement outpost, south of Bethlehem. A fanatic Israeli settler died in the alleged attack.

Army Abducts Ten Palestinians in The West Bank

Israeli soldiers abducted, on Tuesday at dawn, at least ten Palestinians from their homes, in several parts of the occupied West Bank.

The soldiers stormed and ransacked dozens of homes, and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards, before abducting at least ten, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported.

The PPS office in Qalqilia, in northern West Bank, said the soldiers abducted Zaki Daoud, a member of the Administrative Board of an Islamic Athletic Club, in addition to Yazan Abdul-Rahman Daoud, 22, Shadi As’ad Radwan, 38, Jawad Ahmad Suwwan, Mos’ab Ma’zouz Dallal and Mohammad Bilal Freij.

Furthermore, the soldiers abducted a young man, identified as Shehada al-Habash, from his home in Jenin, also in northern West Bank.

In Nablus, in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted a former political prisoner, identified Moayyad Ahmad Ghazi, and Jamal Abu Omar from his home in Jamma’in town, southwest of Nablus.

In addition, the soldiers abducted a child, identified as Nour Abdul-Aziz al-Hindi, from his home in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank.

The soldiers installed many roadblocks in several parts of the West Bank, stopped and searched dozens of cars, and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

Demotion Notices Served against Four Structures near Hebron
Picture
Israeli forces, on Monday, distributed demolition notices for three houses and a shed belonging to Palestinians in al-Khalidiya area, southeast of Yatta town, to the south of Hebron, said a local activist.

The popular committee coordinator in Yatta, Rateb al-Jabour, told WAFA correspondence that Israeli forces handed, to three brothers from the Rabee family, demolition notices for their three houses and a shed used as an animal shelter.

The activist denounced the Israeli measures, which, he stressed, aim to take over the land for the benefit of settlement expansion, calling on Palestinians to remain steadfast in the face of such measures.

Israeli occupation threatens demolition of 3 Palestinian homes

The Israeli occupation forces on Monday distributed demolition notices targeting three Palestinian houses and a shed in al-Khalidiya area, southeast of Yatta town, in the southern occupied West Bank province of al-Khalil.

Israeli forces handed over demolition notifications to three Palestinian brothers from Rabee family, threatening to knock down their three homes and a shed used as a livestock barn, Mahmoud Rabee told the PIC.

Rabee said the targeted structures were built on privately-owned Palestinian land.

The family denounced the measure, which they said aims at taking over the land for the benefit of illegal settlement expansion, calling on the locals to remain steadfast in the face of Israel’s land grab schemes.

“We will not leave our lands, no matter the cost”, the brothers said. “Our land is worth our blood and souls.”

Army Demolishes A Home Near Jenin
Picture
Israeli soldiers demolished, Monday, a Palestinian home in Mreyha area, near Ya’bad town, southwest of the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

Ya’bad Mayor, Samer Abu Bakr, said dozens of soldiers invaded the area, and demolished a home, owned by Baha’ Amin Hamdouni.

He added that the army claimed the home, a one-story building, was constructed without a permit from the Israeli Civil Administration Office.

The demolished home is located in Area C of the occupied West Bank, under full Israeli control.

Abu Bakr also stated that the area is subject to contact Israeli invasions and violations, as the military has demolished homes, and confiscated large areas of farmlands, in addition to mobile homes, in an attempt to illegally occupy the Palestinian lands.

The area in question is located near illegal colonies and the Dothan military base.

During the invasion and the demolition of the Palestinian home, the soldiers closed Dothan military roadblock, on the main road linking between Jenin and Tulkarem governorates, causing a huge traffic jam.

Israeli police arrest 10 Palestinians protesting house demolition
Picture
The Israeli police on Monday evening arrested 10 Palestinians who were taking part in a protest against Israel's house demolition policy in Lod city in the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories.

Dozens of Palestinian protesters on Monday took to the street in Lod and closed a main road in the city in protest at Israel's demolition of a house that was home to three Palestinian families, according to Arab 48.

Ashraf Zabarqa, an eyewitness, said that the Israeli police summoned large reinforcements to the place, arrested 10 protesters, and took them for interrogation.

Israeli municipality bulldozers on Thursday, accompanied by Israeli police forces, demolished a Palestinian house in Lod city for allegedly being unlicensed although an Israeli court had ruled for halting the demolition.

Israeli settlers seize Palestinian-owned land in Nablus
Picture
Israeli settlers on Monday seized a new Palestinian-owned land in Jaloud town, south of the West Bank city of Nablus.

Anti-settlement researcher Ghassan Daghlas said that Israeli settlers living in Ahiya outpost, built illegally on Jaloud lands, seized a privately-owned land close to Palestinian houses located in Area C and threatened with demolition.

The land covers an area of 10 dunums, part of which has been planted with olive and fig trees for decades. It is owned by three Palestinian families in Jaloud and they have been barred from entering the land since 2001 when Israel announced it a closed military zone.

Daghlas said that Israel's land grab activity has been stepped up in Jaloud recently with the aim of adding settlement units to existing outposts in the area, establishing new outposts, and bringing more settlers to live there.

Palestinian land bulldozed to expand Israeli occupation watchtower
Picture
The Israeli occupation authorities bulldozed on Monday a Palestinian land located near a military watchtower south of Kifl Haris town, north of Salfit.

Local sources said the measure makes part of an Israeli plan to expand the military watchtower.

According to the same source, the occupation authorities embarked on the project before the end of the time-limit set to decide on the appeals filed by the Palestinian locals.

Israel Is Building A New Illegal Colony In Nablus
Picture
The Israeli occupation authorities are ongoing with the destruction and bulldozing of private Palestinian lands in Ein Jaloud village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, as part of growing construction of an illegal colony.

Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian Authority official who monitors Israel’s illegal colonialist activities in northern West Bank, told WAFA Palestinian News Agency that the army is ongoing with preparation work, including a new road, a concrete water reservoir and new units on Palestinian lands on the hilltops of Jaloud.

He added that the colonialist settlers have already installed a large tent, and several wooden rooms in that area.

Daghlas also stated that the army, and the colonists, are ongoing with preparation work to expand the illegal colonies in five areas in Nablus, especially the expansion of Shvut Rachel and Amichai colonies.

“This is happening while Israel is ongoing with expansion work in Ahiya, Esh Kadesh and Kida illegal colonies, on Palestinian lands,” he added, “The constructions are even taking place on build more ‘neighborhoods’ outside of these colonies, by stealing more lands from the Palestinians.”

He also said that the colonies and outposts which were illegally built on the southern and eastern areas of Jaloud, have been witnessing a serious and dangerous escalation of illegal colonialist constructions, as Israel plans to create a colonialist bloc in an area of more than eight square/kilometers of lands owned by Jaloud villagers, in Area C of the occupied West Bank.

All of Israel’s colonies and outposts in the West Bank, including in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, to which Israel is a signatory and a constant violator, in addition to various international treaties and agreements.

Israel uses suspicious loans to seize Jerusalem property
Picture
Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, head of the Higher Islamic Council in Jerusalem, on Sunday warned of suspicious loans offered by Israeli companies with the aim of seizing Palestinian property in Jerusalem.

Sabri said in a statement that many Israeli companies have recently launched social media advertisements offering loans to the Palestinians living in Jerusalem and encouraging them to mortgage their homes, real estate, or lands in exchange for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

He warned of these suspicious loans and stressed that they are aimed at seizing Palestinian property in Jerusalem and selling it to Israeli settlers.

He called on the Jerusalemite people to be careful and not to deal with those Israeli companies or sign documents they are not aware of their content.

Sheikh Sabri explained that such suspicious loans will eventually lead to the accumulation of debt and loss of property.

Israeli settlements devouring Qaryut, encroaching on Area B
Picture
After Israel’s settlement expansion has devoured the bulk of Qaryut town in southern Nablus, especially in Area C of the occupied West Bank, settlers’ eyes are now directed at Area B in order to steal the remaining tracts of land from this settlement-afflicted town.

What has exposed Israel’s settlement expansionism in Area B is the attempt of the municipal council of Qaryut to build an agricultural road leading to the Palestinian area of Batisha in the west of the town and near the illegal settlement of Eli.

Just immediately after the town’s municipal council embarked on carrying out the road project, dozens of Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian workmen and physically assaulted them, and later Israeli soldiers intervened and forced the workers to stop building the road and leave the area with their equipment.

Less than a week later, the road workers returned to the area to resume their work, but Israeli forces stormed the site and forced them again to leave at gunpoint.

The area of Batisha in Qaryut contains vast tracts of land that are planted with olive trees, and it is considered the only remaining agricultural area which Qaryut residents can reach almost freely because it is located in Area B, which is under the Palestinian civil jurisdiction according to the classifications stipulated by Oslo Accords.

Qaryut is located about 26 kilometers to the south of Nablus and its total area is approximately 20,000 dunums of land, of which 14,000 dunums are located within Area C according to Oslo Accords. However, the residents of Qaryut are allowed to build only on 360 dunums of land.

It is one of the Palestinian towns and villages that are systematically targeted by the Israeli occupation state and Jewish settlers. Thousands of dunums of its land have been seized to build and expand illegal settlements.

Israeli settlements encircle Qaryut from all sides and they keep encroaching into further territory, eliminating any possibility for the native population to expand their residential and agricultural areas.

The settlements built on grabbed land in the town are Eli, established in 1984, and Shvut Rachel, 1995, and Shiloh, 1979. There are also the outposts of Hioval, Givat Ariel, Kida, and Adei Ad.

These settlements and outposts devoured 65 percent of the total area of Qaryut (about 14,000 dunums of land).

Such systematic settlement expansion and activity in Qaryut and its nearby areas are aimed at forcing the native population to migrate in order to connect the three settlements in the town with each other and make them one huge settlement bloc extending from Ariel settlement to the Jordan Valley in the east.

EU: 'Israel's policy of settlement expansion undermines two-state solution'
Picture
The European Union (EU) condemned, on Saturday, Israel’s demolition of around 20 Palestinian-owned structures in Shufat refugee camp in occupied East Jerusalem, as well as the continued Israeli settlement expansion in the city.

Earlier this week, Israeli forces along with the Israeli Civil Administration staff and bulldozers stormed the Shufat refugee camp and carried out a demolition campaign, demolishing more than 20 Palestinian shops under the pretext that the shops were built without the difficult-to-obtain Israeli permit.

However, Israel rarely grants Palestinians permits to build in East Jerusalem, though the Jerusalem municipality has claimed that compared to the Jewish population, they receive a disproportionately low number of permit applications from Palestinian communities, which also see high approval ratings.

Maja Kocijancic, the spokesperson of the EU's High Representative Federica Mogherini, said in a statement, “The policy of settlement construction and expansion in East Jerusalem continues to undermine the possibility of a viable two-state solution, with Jerusalem as the future capital of both states, which is the only realistic way to achieve a just and lasting peace.”

Kocijancic also condemned Israel’s plans to build housing units in the East Jerusalem neighborhoods of Ramat Shlomo and Ramot.

Kocijancic stressed, “The European Union is strongly opposed to Israel’s settlement policy, illegal under international law, and actions taken in that context, such as forced transfers, evictions and demolitions.”

She added, “The EU expects the Israeli authorities to reconsider and reverse these decisions.”
