The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Tuesday stormed West Bank provinces and wreaked havoc on Palestinian ex-prisoners’ homes.
Reporting from the southern West Bank province of al-Khalil, a PIC news correspondent said the IOF ravaged over 20 ex-prisoners’ homes and seized cash.
Ex-prisoner Fayez Mesk was detained by the IOF for hours and subjected to intensive questioning before he was released afterwards.
Ex-prisoner Mesk said on Facebook that the occupation soldiers stole 15,000 shekels from his home.
The campaign also targeted the homes of ex-prisoners Anas Zagheir, Ahmed al-Aweiwi (journalist), Sheikh Fawzi al-Khatib, and Hesham al-Sharbati, among others.
The Israeli forces also rummaged into the home of ex-prisoner Rasmi Doufesh, the father of the two slain Palestinians Tareq and Jihad, and seized laptops and mobile phones.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army claimed, overnight, responsibility for the abduction of a Hamas activist from Jenin’s southern town of Qabatiya and two other Palestinians from Husan, west of Bethlehem, on allegations of involvement in anti-occupation activities.
The IOF further closed a blacksmith shop in Jama’in village, in southern Nablus, and seized all of its equipment on claims that it was used to manufacture weapons.
The IOF also claimed that weapons and ammunition were detected in Bartaa, near Jenin.
At the same time, thousands of dollars were seized by the Israeli army in arbitrary assaults targeting Palestinian homes in al-Khalil on allegations that they are funneled to anti-occupation organizations.
Meanwhile, a flock of Israeli military patrols, escorted by a police jeep, stormed Nablus’s eastern towns of Rujaib and Ourata and rummaged into civilian homes. A Palestinian vehicle was seized from Rujaib in the process.
The campaign culminated in the abduction of six Palestinians from southern Jenin. At least 20 Palestinian homes have been subjected to abrupt searches in Bartaa town, to the east.
The occupation army further cracked down on the Palestinian residents and subjected dozens to exhaustive interrogation.
The list of Jenin arrestees included Saleh Hathnawi Mootassem Qubha, Mu’nis Qubha, Mujahed Khatib, and the two brothers Hamed and Maher.
At predawn time, Palestinian youth Talib Jumu’a sustained thigh wounds in clashes with the IOF in Kafr Kaddoum, in eastern Qalqilya. He was rushed to a local hospital for urgent treatment.
The IOF further kidnapped a Palestinian youth from the town and summoned four others to questioning.
The Israeli forces reportedly raked through Qalqilya’s eastern town of Azzoun and broke into the home of the Palestinian citizen Sofyan Awdeh before they attacked his family members.

Israeli bulldozers leveled on Monday morning large areas of Palestinian lands in the Jordan Valley as a prelude to establish new settlement projects in the area, the PIC reporter revealed.
Photos taken by a PIC photographer showed that Israeli razing operations are carried out in Palestinian lands earlier confiscated by Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) and declared as closed military zone.
The IOA earlier declared intention to grant each settler 50 dunums in the Jordan Valley with the aim of implementing settlement projects.
Over the past two days, large areas of land in the Jordan Valley were fenced for unknown reasons.
The local activist Hamza Aqrabawi told the PIC reporter that Israeli Judaization projects are scheduled to be established in the area at the expense of Palestinian agricultural facilities.

The Israeli Civil Administration has replaced on Monday the recently issued 42 stop work orders by demolition orders in Khan al-Ahmar Bedouin village, located in Israeli-controlled Area C in the West Bank.
Lawyer of the Palestinian villagers Shlomo Lecker said that a large part of the Bedouin village is threatened with demolition after the distribution of 42 demolition orders.
Last week, the villagers filed an urgent petition against the demolition process, requesting an injunction on those demolition orders from the High Court.
Haaretz Hebrew newspaper pointed out that the Civil Administration has issued in a rare move 42 demolition orders at the same time.
The Palestinian villagers had earlier refused an Israeli order to evacuate all of the community’s buildings, including its school.
Khan al-Ahmar’s primary school, which was built in 2009 with international support and has around 140 pupils from surrounding Bedouin communities, is among the buildings to be destroyed.
According to Haaretz, Israel has avoided large-scale evacuation of Palestinians in Area C, partly because of the involvement of European and American diplomats.
Khan al-Ahmar is situated in an area Israel earmarked for the future expansion of Maale Adumim illegal settlement.
In 2016, Israeli authorities demolished 12 dwellings in the community, rendering 60 people homeless, including 35 minors.

Israel’s so-called “Nature Authority” afternoon Sunday detained Palestinian Akoub (Gundelia) harvesters in the northern Jordan Valley and seized their cattle.
Local activist Aref Daraghma said the Nature Authority cracked down on the Palestinian pickers of Akoub plant in the Jordan Valley.
Daraghma added that wildfires broke out across the mountains while bird eggs and baby animals have been burned down due to incessant Israeli military maneuvers in the area.
In addition, thousands of dunums of private land seized from Palestinian farmers in the area were handed over to Israeli settlers.
Daraghma further warned of underway attempts by the Israeli occupation authorities and settlers to expand illegal settlement projects at the expense of Palestinian farmlands.

Israeli occupation bulldozers raided, on Sunday morning, several Palestinian villages in the Negev desert region, and destroyed thousands of planted crops.
Activist Khaled Abu Kharma said, according to Al Ray, that Israeli soldiers raided the Negev and began destroying crops in various villages.
He stressed that Israel exterminated crops in the land near the village of Lakiya, and hundreds of dunams were destroyed owned by Nasasrh Abu Darwish.
Abu Kharma explained that the Israeli vehicles plowed and destroyed crops of civilians near Nafroq Om Baten.
Israeli soldiers raided nearby lands last week, as well, destroying thousands of wheat crops. They deliberately attacked Palestinian lands in the time when plants are still growing. It is an Israeli policy to displace and uproot the people from their villages, which the occupation government considers “unrecognized”.

Israeli right-wing lawmakers postponed their intent to table the Ma’ale Adumim annexation bill at a Knesset committee, which they declared they would present on Sunday, March 4.
According to the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz on Saturday, Likud member of the Knesset (MK) Yoav Kisch and Jewish Home MK Bezalel Smotrich claimed on Friday that at the behest of premier Benjamin Netanyahu, they would postpone putting the annexation bill to the Knesset’s ministerial committee for legislation until the following Sunday, March 12.
The proposed legislation, which calls for annexing the illegal settlement of Ma’ale Adumim to Jerusalem and Israel’s sovereignty, has been strongly condemned by the international community.
It has already been postponed several times in recent months.
The Orthodox-nationalist Jewish Home party has long backed legislation that would enable Israel to annex large parts of the West Bank, starting with Ma’ale Adumim.
The controversial bill has been supported by Jewish Home leader Naftali Bennett as an initiative backed by the government coalition.
Home to some 40,000 settlers in east of Jerusalem, Ma’ale Adumim is widely believed in Israel to be included in any future land swap deals that could be part of a peace treaty with the Palestinians.
However, critics warn that extending Israeli sovereignty to Ma’ale Adumim and a vast tract of land known as E-1 between Jerusalem and the settlement, would effectively separate the northern and southern parts of the West Bank.

After delaying a bill at the Knesset calling for annexing the West Bank illegal settlement of Ma’ale Adumim to Occupied Jerusalem until the new US administration assumes office, right-wing Israeli lawmakers intend on Sunday to table it again.
According to Haaretz newspaper, the Ma’ale Adumim annexation bill will be introduced at the Knesset’s ministerial committee for legislation on Sunday by members of the Knesset Yoav Kish (Likud) and Bezalel Smotrich (Jewish Home).
Israel's education minister Naftali Bennett (Jewish home) is a keen advocate of the bill.
Recently, Bennett asserted that the arrival of Trump’s administration would see a shift in Israel’s West Bank settlement activities, including the annexation of Ma’ale Adumim, a massive settlement with some 40,000 Jewish residents.
Introducers and sponsors of the bill intend for the legislation to not only annex Ma’ale Adumim under Israel’s sovereignty, but also the surrounding E1 area (occupied in the 1967 war), where Israel has launched a vicious demolition campaign against Bedouin Palestinian communities over the past year.
