Illegal Israeli colonial settlers set up tents today at a Palestinian-owned land near the village of Beita, to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to a local source.
Ghassan Daghlas, an official in charge of monitoring Israeli colonial activities in Nablus Governorate, told WAFA that settlers set up six tents in Jabal Sbeih area, near Beita village, apparently in a prelude to take over the land and establish a new settlement outpost.
Daghlas said that over recent years, Israeli settlers have been trying to take over Palestinian land in the area by various means, but all those attempts were thwarted by the local Palestinian population.
He pointed out that current attempts by Israeli settlers and settler organizations to expropriate Palestinian land are part of the Israeli government's plan to annex portions of the occupied West Bank to the occupying state's sovereignty.
There are about 700,000 colonial Israeli settlers living in the occupied West Bank settlements in violation of international law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention which expressly bans the relocation of the occupying nation's civilian population to the land of the occupied.
The occupying state of Israel captured the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights following the 1967 war, and has since built hundreds of illegal Jewish-only settlements throughout the occupied territories.

Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) on Thursday distributed notices ordering a halt to the construction of 15 Palestinian houses in Kafr ad-Dik town in the West Bank district of Salfit.
Kafr ad-Dik’s mayor Ebrahim Issa said in press statements that IOA crews, accompanied by armed soldiers, stormed the town in the morning and handed Palestinian citizens 15 orders to stop the construction of their houses in al-Sha’b neighborhood.
The IOA claimed the targeted houses are located in Area C, which is exclusively controlled by Israel based on the Oslo Accords in 1993.

Israeli forces today demolished two houses southeast of Yatta, in the south of the occupied West Bank, local sources said.
Rateb Jabour, from the anti-wall, anti-settlements popular committees in the south of the West Bank, told WAFA that Israeli bulldozers demolish two Palestinian-owned houses in the village of Lesfayier, southeast of Yatta, under the pretext that they were built without a permit.
He added that the two houses are inhabited by more than 10 people, noting that their owners have the legal documents that prove their ownership of the lands on which the houses were built, which are close to the illegal Israeli settlement of Beit Yatir.

Israeli authorities in the northern West Bank district of Jenin, delivered three demolition orders, on Tuesday, to different residents from the Ya’bad town, south-west of Jenin.
According to the board-member of the Ya’bad municipality, Samer Abu Bakr, the demolition orders involve stores belonging to Omar Alkilani and Zaid Herzallah, as well as Easam Attatra.
He explained that the Israeli authorities would soon embark on demolishing the butcher shop of Alkilani and the grocery store of Attatra. With respect to the third store, it is a another grocery store that is currently under construction, and owned by resident Herzallah.
The local municipal member also noted that the warrants, indicate that the pretext for the orders is that of non-licensing, and that the owners are forbidden to reconstruct their buildings, once they are knocked down.
Noteworthy, the three buildings are located on the eastern entrance of Ya’bad town. Ya’bad itself, has been exposed to frequent Israeli troops invasions and crackdown on its residents, over the past several weeks.
Dozens of Ya’bad residents have been abducted by Israeli troops, over the same time period.

In an attempt to steal Palestinian land, Israeli settlers set up a tent and fenced off dozens of dunums of land in the Jordan Valley, today said Mahdi Daraghme, head of al-Maleh village council.
He said that over the past two days, settlers set up a tent and placed a fence around land in the Bayoud and Umm Kharoubeh villages in the northern Jordan Valley.
The settlers, he explained, have grabbed thousands of dunums of herding land in the Jordan Valley in order to prevent shepherds from reaching them and in order to eventually takeover this land.
