Two Palestinians, including a photojournalist, were shot and injured Tuesday morning as clashes broke out in Issawiya town, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
The clashes erupted when Israeli forces stormed the town and demolished a three-story building for allegedly being built without a permit.
Israeli police sealed off the area near the building since the early morning hours before forcibly and violently getting its residents out and removing furniture in order to demolish it.
Heavy teargas bombs and rubber bullets were fired during the clashes, local sources reported.
The two injured people were immediately taken to hospital for treatment, the sources added.
Along the same line, a second Palestinian-owned facily was also demolished northeast of the occupied city under the same pretext.

The Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday forced five Palestinian families in the northern Jordan Valley out of their homes on account of upcoming military drills.
Activist Aref Daraghma said five families, among them children and women, have gone homeless after the Israeli military forced them out of their tents.
At the same time, staff from the Israeli municipality in Occupied Jerusalem and police demolished a building in Issawiya neighborhood under the pretext that it was built without a permit.
Mohamed Abu al-Hums, from al-Issawiya’s Follow-Up Committee said Police and staff sealed off the targeted building since the early morning hours before they forced the residents out and demolished the building.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army demolished a home in Suwin town, in Negev.
Palestinians say they are forced to build without a permit because the Israeli municipality rarely grants them a building permit, which is part of a long term policy to keep Palestinian residents in the occupied city to a bare minimum while multiplying the number of Israeli settlers.

Israeli soldiers demolished, on Tuesday morning, a Palestinian building in the al-‘Isawiya town in occupied East Jerusalem, after forcing the inhabitants out, and emptying its apartments and stores.
Mohammad Abu al-Hummus, a member of the Follow-Up Committee in al-‘Isawiya, said dozens of soldiers and police officers, accompany by bulldozers, invaded the town, and surrounded the building after declaring the area a closed military zone. He added that the soldiers demolished the building, owned by Jamal Ata ‘Oleyyan and his family, allegedly for being built without a permit. He stated that the soldiers forced the families from the apartment building, adding that the families were granted a very short time to remove their |
furniture and belongings, but the time was insufficient for them to empty the building.
The building consisted of three floors, containing two flats, inhabited by more than 15 members of Abu ‘Oleyyan family, and also included stores on the ground level.
The family has been living in the building for more than ten years, and said it never received an official and final decision regarding the demolition of their property.
While Israel’s illegal construction and expansion of colonies on Palestinians lands continues to increase, in direct violation of International Law and the Fourth Geneva Convention, the Palestinians in Jerusalem are denied construction permits, in addition to the excessively high fees, and costs they face just to apply for a permit.

Israeli soldiers invaded, Tuesday, the al-‘Isawiya town in occupied East Jerusalem, and evicted a three-story Palestinian building in preparation for demolishing it under the pretext of being built without a permit.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan (Silwanic) said the soldiers surrounded the building, owned by members of ‘Oleyyan family, and includes apartments in addition to commercial stores.
Dozens of soldiers invaded the town, before imposing a strict siege around the building, and invaded its stores and apartments.
The soldiers violently removed the Palestinians and emptied the contents of the building in preparation for leveling it.
It is worth mentioning that al-‘Isawiya has been subject to a very strict Israeli military siege, and witnesses daily invasions and violent searches of homes and property, in addition to escalating abduction of locals, especially youngsters, in an attempt to stop the ongoing protests against the illegal occupation, and violations against the residents, and their property.

The Israeli occupation army waged air raids late Friday night on a resistance post in the Gaza Strip after its warplanes bombed earlier two anti-siege boats docking at the harbor of Gaza City.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center that Israeli warplanes fired at least six missiles at a site belonging to al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas in the western area of Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.
The airstrikes caused resounding explosions that were heard throughout the besieged enclave. Luckily, no one was injured in the aerial attack.
Earlier, a warplane bombed and destroyed two boats in Gaza port, with no reported casualties.
The National Commission for Breaking the Siege and Reconstructing Gaza said that the bombed boats were prepared to carry a group of students and patients from Gaza as part of anti-siege activities aimed at confirming the population’s right to a decent life without blockade and a seaport connecting them with the world.
The commission condemned the destruction of the boats as a cowardly crime and Israeli persistence in its inhumane practices against Gaza and terrorizing all international voices and appeals to end its blockade on the population.

Israeli authorities plan to build a new settlement in Sur Baher for Israeli police and military.
Using bulldozers, cranes and armed police, Israeli authorities uprooted at least 60 olive trees in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sur Baher on April 23, 2018. Signs reading, “no trespassing” were left in their place.
According to settlement watch group Peace Now, Israeli authorities announced plans in 2012 to build a settlement consisting of 180 units in Sur Baher for members of the Israeli military and police. Israeli authorities had originally expropriated the land in 1970, but for “public use” – a designation that typically sets the stage for building Israeli national parks on stolen Palestinian land, rather than residential settlements.
Ahmad Nimr, one of the affected landowners, told the Palestinian Information Center that the land and trees belong to the Nimr, Dweiyat, Awad and Amira families. He adds that many of the 500 olive trees on the land are over 100 years old.
Until Monday, Israeli authorities had largely ignored the olive grove and the four families continued to cultivate it. The Israeli Supreme Court ruled against their objections to the settlement plan in 2014.
Haaretz reports that the stolen trees will be replanted in an Israeli national park in Jerusalem. The Jerusalem municipality is well known for classifying Palestinian areas as so-called national parks to wrest control over more territory.
The parks, like Israeli settlements, stand in violation of UN Security Council resolutions 194, 181, 252, 476 and 478.

The day after settlers seize the Zaatari family’s home in downtown Hebron, March 27, 2018.
POSTED BY: ALTERNATIVE INFORMATION CENTER APRIL 26, 2018
Settlers attack the homes of the Kfeisheh and Jaber families in occupied Hebron.
The same group of settlers who recently occupied the Za’tari home in downtown Hebron attempted to displace the Kfeisheh and Jaber families from their nearby homes on April 21, 2018.
The settlers told the Kfeisheh family to leave their house and tried to enter it. The same settlers told the Jaber family to leave their home before threatening to take it over.
Both homes are located in the center of the Old City near the Ibrahimi Mosque. Both attacks happened in the sight of Israeli soldiers who did not stop them.
Activist in Hebron’s Human Rights Defenders Coalition Aref Jaber said of the incident:
It seems that the settlers targeted the houses located in el Sahla in the downtown area, close to the Ibarahimi Mosque, in order to force residents to leave their homes. The settlers want to implement policies to control more and more of the Old City. The settlers targeted most of parts of this area, including the Jaber, Wadi Hussain and Salaima neighborhoods. In downtown Hebron, five small settlements that house between 500 and 1,000 Israelis continue to expand onto Palestinian land and property. Settlers and soldiers infringe upon the human rights of neighboring Palestinians there everyday.
Discriminatory policies and practices have transformed the downtown, where 55,000 Palestinians live, into a real ghetto governed by a system of Apartheid that benefits Israeli settlers. Local and grassroots movements, political parties, and activists have struggled to end the racist rule over the city for years.
